I'm not sure you know what you're talking about

If Haven have given away 100 holidays then Haven will be paying for them. Certainly not the caravan owners. Why on earth would they be paying for people to stay in their caravans for free?
Yes I do own a caravan on a Haven site and do know what I am talking about when I say it is the owners who will end up paying for these so called free holidays, just as we do when people book th 9.50 sun holidays. You just have to look at any owners sublet details from last year at how much they lost in these cheap holidays that Haven and British holidays advertised last year. Haven don't lose out as they gain from other revenues like the over priced shops and bars. Last year I got as little as 34.04 from a 4 night booking via Haven's cheap sun holidays less the gas and electric and the cost of replacing the kettle which the considerate guests boiled dry!! Hence my doing all of my subletting my self this year at least that way I can charge the guests a breakage bond which will be returned to them if there is any damage to the caravan.

I'd assume any owner choosing to let via haven would have t&c's they agreed to, which include these details.

While it doesn't seem fair, if haven offer the holidays, people will take them.

The owners have control of this - if haven didn't have owners agreeing to it they wouldn't offer the holidays.

Me too. Just back from Devon Cliffs.
The park is very big and very close to the beach. We had a good time and highly recommended for someone without a car. And it is total free and got free linen and £20 deposit back.
Thank you so much for the post.
  • Haven park just call 01442 868009 between 9am-5pm.choose date and park

A big thank you for this I have just returned, from my free hol in Perran sands. Kids had a fab time so me and hubby happy.
The linen was included, I got my £20 deposit back (That I paid over the phone when booking) at the end of the hol, when I took the linen back to the hire shop.

  • My daughter just got back from a free holiday to seaview weymouth.
She had a wonderful time and said the caravan was beautiful, very new and modern with a colour tv with DVD, fridge with freezer compartment and microwave. Much better than anticipated, she also got free linen and her £20 deposit back.
Thank you so much for letting us all know about this offer. I'm off to Perran Sands 16th April - can't wait!!!

hi there we're going on the 16th of april...any tips on what to bring that we may need in the accomodation that it doesnt supply? never stayed at haven in a caravan before so its all new and exciting for us but at the same time daunting as to what to expect... we will be eating out on the evenings (what are the meal prices like within the complex?) but will be catering our own breakfasts and light lunches,do you need to supply your own plates, cutlery toilet roll etc...

glad you had a good time especially with all that warm sunshine :T we have been having!! i hope i will be as fortunate when we visit!:cool2:
