OK. It seems my recent comments here have been taken as a criticism of Kazza, which was not what I intended.masonic said:
The thread was started in 2007 and was last updated a month ago. There can be all sorts of reasons a commitment started 18 years ago may go through periods where it is not front and centre of an individual's life. I'm sure Kazza would be the first to offer you a full and immediate refund if you feel you haven't received the level of service you were entitled toetienneg said:
What's the point of the opening post that purports to be updated frequently, then?Gambler said:
Just use Moneyfacts. You can't expect somebody to keep on top of the opening post.etienneg said:- Principality BS Online Bonus 5 Access Cash ISA (issue 5) - 4.40% **New**
***This rate will be decreasing to 4.20% w.e.f. 18/09/2025. - Moneybox Cash ISA - 4.20% **New Rate**
***This rate will be decreasing to 3.95% w.e.f. 22/08/2025.
These w.e.f. dates are now well past. Somewhat detracts from the use of "New"!

My original post pointed out information that (ideally) would have been updated two months ago ("w.e.f. 22/08/2025". It was intended to highlight the existence of out-of-date information that could easily have been overlooked. The comment about "New" was intended as a suggestion that alternatives would be better - such as "New as at xx/xx/xxxx".
Gambler's reply simply suggested using an alternative web site, which I think implies NOT using this thread. My reply was a genuine question, and again NOT a criticism of Kazza.
So, I offer my apologies to anyone who thought I was being critical. In particular, I am sorry if I have offended Kazza, and I wish him/her all the best if there is (as masonic suggests) any particular problem in his/her life at the present time. I have derived much benefit from this thread over quite some time, and I am nothing but grateful for the time and effort put into it.
This thread is great. I use it extensively for the comments which are very helpful but tend to ignore the OP and use moneyfacts instead for up to date rates.
Updates also take place in the thread.0 - Principality BS Online Bonus 5 Access Cash ISA (issue 5) - 4.40% **New**

There is a reason why I put deleted into quotation marks ;-)PixelPound said:
Surely they can't as past ISA amounts will need to be reported to HMRC.pecunianonolet said:

On a side note, Chip is back up to 4.39%, probably only for a few more hours or if lucky a few days.
Moneybox also upped their rates to 4.52%. I wonder if closing down Moneybox and reopening with new email works in the same way as it does with Chip. Anyone experience with that because 4.52% is a very good rate and one that tempts me to try and close down Moneybox and reopen to move my funds from my 4.35% Cynergy account.

I have just completed a transfer from Moneybox to Principality because MY rate on MY version of their ISA drops to 3.7% on 28/10 (took over 3 weeks to xfer but rate is better and PrinBS ISA is flexible unlike MB).pecunianonolet said:

I'm done with this rate-chasing, it's going to have to be an almighty big hike before I'm moving again.2 -
Have they announced another general rate drop for existing customers or is only your bonus expiring?flaneurs_lobster said:

Expiring bonus. The unboosted rate is the same as on the current offering (3.7%).pecunianonolet said:

It's not as simple as Chip in my experience. Even with a different email, it recognised me (long before giving the NIN°) 🫤. I contacted them with 'help registering,' managed to progress. It doesn't ask NINO til the last minute, but every time I tried & entered that it refused to let me progress without contacting them 'about a problem' (or some such phrase). I didn't pursue, & went to Chip whose rate was equally as good at that moment in time.pecunianonolet said:

I tried using a different email (with old account closed for more than a year) but it didn't work. I think moneybox checks your national insurance number or some other unique personal data against their previous customers database.pecunianonolet said:

Which is exactly what I would expect them all to do.RexItaliae said:

In fact I find it quite bizarre that the likes of Chip supposedly don't.0 -
Thanks for sharing this, so do I need to close all the accounts with chip? Or just the ISA ?pecunianonolet said:Chip ISA currently at 4.31%, you have to be quick as they change their rates nearly every few days and it was 4.32% when I opened it, went down to 4.07%, up to 4.20%, back own and now at 4.31% again. Who know for how long...
As an FYI, I was a returning Chip customer, transferred out in May and closed it all down, just used my gmail email addres and added the prefix +chip e.g. myemail+chip@gmail.com (Google will deliver to the same inbox as myemail@gmail.com but to Chip is looks like a new email...

You would need to close down your entire customer relationship with Chip. You can do this in their chat by contacting customer service and they will get it processed. You can keep the app installed and they send you an email when it is processed and you can sign up via app from scratch entering your details.pookey said:
