I don't use Gmail, but presumably any new email address would suffice to appear as a new customer?pecunianonolet said:Chip ISA currently at 4.31%, you have to be quick as they change their rates nearly every few days and it was 4.32% when I opened it, went down to 4.07%, up to 4.20%, back own and now at 4.31% again. Who know for how long...
As an FYI, I was a returning Chip customer, transferred out in May and closed it all down, just used my gmail email addres and added the prefix +chip e.g. myemail+chip@gmail.com (Google will deliver to the same inbox as myemail@gmail.com but to Chip is looks like a new email...

Any new email will work. I just use the Gmail option so I can track better and it's easy as they all arrive into the same inbox in outloook.winkowinko said:

My Chip account is still active, although it has a zero balance, as I made a full transfer out about 3 months ago.pecunianonolet said:

Would you advise I close it before attempting to re-register with a new email?0 -

Do I need to contact them to delete my profile etc, or will simply deleting my account in the app be enough?0

Just delete the account and wait a few days.winkowinko said:Do I need to contact them to delete my profile etc, or will simply deleting my account in the app be enough?2 -
You need to tell them to delete, this is the best way to make sure the data is "deleted" from their systems.winkowinko said:Do I need to contact them to delete my profile etc, or will simply deleting my account in the app be enough?2 -
Surely they can't as past ISA amounts will need to be reported to HMRC.pecunianonolet said:

The thread was started in 2007 and was last updated a month ago. There can be all sorts of reasons a commitment started 18 years ago may go through periods where it is not front and centre of an individual's life. I'm sure Kazza would be the first to offer you a full and immediate refund if you feel you haven't received the level of service you were entitled toetienneg said:

These w.e.f. dates are now well past. Somewhat detracts from the use of "New"!

OK. It seems my recent comments here have been taken as a criticism of Kazza, which was not what I intended.masonic said:

My original post pointed out information that (ideally) would have been updated two months ago ("w.e.f. 22/08/2025". It was intended to highlight the existence of out-of-date information that could easily have been overlooked. The comment about "New" was intended as a suggestion that alternatives would be better - such as "New as at xx/xx/xxxx".
Gambler's reply simply suggested using an alternative web site, which I think implies NOT using this thread. My reply was a genuine question, and again NOT a criticism of Kazza.
So, I offer my apologies to anyone who thought I was being critical. In particular, I am sorry if I have offended Kazza, and I wish him/her all the best if there is (as masonic suggests) any particular problem in his/her life at the present time. I have derived much benefit from this thread over quite some time, and I am nothing but grateful for the time and effort put into it.
