I've retried about 20 times and I'm sure it's the same face i had last month when i logged in successfully! If i do manage to log in, i shall transfer my balance somewhere they don't require such a stupid process, but for now i'm completely stuck.Edit - come to think of it, i can probably transfer my balance without logging on, and i believe my Shawbrook account will accept a transfer in. But i'd still welcome any comments.
I had problems trying to create an account with them yesterday. I wanted to sign up to their cash ISA, but once I got onto their phone app is was a nightmare.Firstly with the list of documents: having selected the country from the list, the list of countries (along with their flags) continues to overlay on document types, it takes various screen touching and selecting before the countries list eventually disappears and you get to see the document list.
Second, when I do manage to select document type, and enable my phone camera, the window showing the camera view is BLACK i.e. I can't actually see what the camera is seeing. If I click 'take picture' it takes it, and it then shows me what it captured (so the camera is enabled), but it took a dozen attempts, not seeing what the camera sees and guessing, to get a half decent picture. I did abandon the first attempt, and after having got this far again it was still the same, ‘guess what you’re taking a picture of…. ‘ Having submitted some sort of photos, it then proceeded to the video section, the biggest farce.
Having framed my face within the reduced window they apply on the screen, as I turn sideways it stops videoing, either not framing my face (der it’s the side of course you won’t see it when I’m turning) or because I turn too fast, how do I know, you ask me to turn away from the phone!.
I've eventually abandoned this process and sent an email to customer service (finding how to contact them is difficult). The response that came back was basically the help section on what their verification does, no guidance on what I could do.
I've decided a company this difficult to deal with I'm not going any further with.

Coventry Building Society have today released a Six Access ISA (Online)(2), paying a variable interest rate of 4.46% monthly, 4.55% annual (4.55% AER). Up to 6 penalty free withdrawals per annum permitted with further withdrawals subject to a 50 day loss of interest. Withdrawals to be made via a nominated account. This account must be applied for and managed online and/or via the app.
6 Access ISA Online (2)
Coventry BS have also released a Six Access ISA (2) today, paying a notably lower variable interest rate of 3.98% monthly, 4.05% annual (4.05% AER). Again up to 6 penalty free withdrawals per annum are allowed with further withdrawals subject to a 50 day loss of interest. However there is no reference to a nominated account in this case, and this account can also be applied for in person, by post or by telephone. Both of these accounts can be opened with a minimum of £1.
6 Access ISA 2
ETA: Links to these two accounts on Coventry's website to help speed up the application process for anyone interested in applying to either (or both) of them.1 -
Chip Cash ISA
Anyone able to explain this or what I maybe miss here. My Chip ISA shows me a rate of 4.58% AER but on moneyfacts I see 4.85%
Checking on the Chip website, it shows me that new customers get a boosted rate. However, they also show this for existing members but say at the same time it is a tracker with 0.26% below base rate, which is at 4.75%
Is this a mistake on the website or have they actually tinkered with the rates? I suspect the former.0 -
I've just opened an account for myself and my wife with Moneybox as we have two ISAs maturing at the end of the month. Their advice was to wait until they've matured before requesting a transfer.1

OK so what am I doing wrong here. If I enter Tembo on https://www.fscs.org.uk/check/check-your-money-is-protected/ all references to Tembo are not protected. If I enter "Nude financial services" as the accounts are trading names of nude financial services, all references are unprotected. If I enter 928010 as their FRN no., no results are found. If I enter 913654, they are again, all unprotected.

Tembo do not hold your funds, from their website:
"All money in your Cash ISA is held securely with our partner banks Barclays & Bank of Scotland who are covered by the FSCS."1 -

Hodge Bank fixed rate isa rates have increased slightly since last updated on page 1 but state "You can’t transfer your money from other Cash ISA providers". This may be a new condition as they are listed as accepting transfers in on page 1.
