Was tempted to jump on trading 212 to max this years allowance out but it’s seems it’s only a matter of time before they drop the rates as well. Maybe might as well just max Chip out so it’s all together
I have some Euros at Trading 212 and was under the impression that when the ECB started to lower rates they would follow suit. However, they have kept the rate stable since then so there might be good change that the ISA rate of 5.2 remains a little longer competitive.

With daily payments of interest every day counts. Transfer in transactions did take a while in June so unless you pay in fresh money it could take 3 weeks before funds arrive, it may go much quicker now if they have less demand and can process things faster.
Thx for the reply it is fresh cash got 17k dropping in to my current account from my 90 day Oxbury on the 19th. ATM I have 3k sitting in a Chip ISA for this year
Just in case you didn't know, if you put it in Chip and want to transfer out you have to do the full amount.

I opened this year allowance with Chip and kept topping it up to avoid going over my PSA. I also took to long to set up a LISA so I can't transfer the money from Chip to my LISA, it's fine but a bit annoying. I have some money maturing next month so I'm just waiting for that to top up my LISA.
Thx just opened a T212 and requested to transfer 3k plus the interest to T212 from Chip so will see how long it takes, then will transfer the deposit from Oxbury when it lands on the 19th
Can you please update how long it takes? I might do the same too. Just trying to figure out what to put where 😅
Just had a email from T212 saying my ISA transfer was cancelled because Chip don’t do partial transfers even thou I am pretty sure I did ask to transfer in full this years tax subscription, I didn’t select previous tax years because I don’t have any. Asked T212 to check what was on the form and resubmitted again

Thanks for the update. Hope it goes through ok this time as I've decided to open it next week when we are back from holiday
A little update spoke to Chip, The reason the ISA transfer was rejected was because I never selected transfer previous years. I don’t have any previous years with Chip so deselected it, so if you select full and this year only they class it as a partial transfer. Seems rather weird that to me
Thank you, so if i select transfer previous year even though it's a this tax year ISA it should be ok?
Have they managed to sort yours out?
Yh if you only have a ISA for 23/24 with Chip you still need to select previous years as well or they will see it as a partial transfer and refuse to do the transfer. Yh I resubmitted yesterday and received a email before from Chip saying pending transfer
I have this years 24/25 ISA that i need to transfer. So do i select previous year's pls?
Yh sorry I meant 24/25. If your just transferring this year, you still need to select previous years as well
I summited it yesterday and got this from Chip today, Seems very petty not allowing you to ever have another Chip ISA in future and to also underline it 🙈

Thank you very much, I'll try to do it tomorrow.
Yes it sounds very petty, i thought i couldn't open another one for this tax year.

I only went with them as they had the best rate at the time.

    Principality

I've searched but can't find - is their Online Bonus 5 Access Cash ISA due to be reduced from 5.00%?

    TIA
Yes, the Principality BS Online Bonus 5 Access ISA interest rate is due to be reduced from 5.00% to 4.75% w.e.f 12th September 2024.

The new rate is displayed on a banner, which is located at the top of the product page, here.
Indeed. Takes rate just below VM Exclusive Flexible ISA @ 4.76%. Will VM also reduce?🤔

At least VM will give a minimum of 2 months notice of any reduction.

I have 3 of the previous 5.25% version.
Only done that rather than do paper transfers.
I believe now you can make subsequent transfers online though
If your set on having multiple though, best to just try it and see

I’ve just posted reply to your question on the other thread. Virgin allow subscription to only one cash ISA per year, but you should be able to open others for xfer in only.

VM the current 1yr exclusive @ 5.05% must be due to be cut given the nearest rival is down at 4.70% and others have cut lower,
The current 5.05% has a maturity of 29/8/25.
So it could be cut after this comng Thursday.

please can anyone clarify? can I transfer a previous years subscription to Trading 212 and then because trading 212 is flexible, borrow some of it back to be replaced by April? its a previous years isa allowance and yet to pay into one this year.

Yes. You need to put it back in the same tax year that you took it out. When you originally paid in the money doesn't matter.
