I would like to open the Lloyds 5.45% fixed rate 1 year cash ISA but I’m struggling to make sense of the T&C’s.
Is there a funding window for this particular ISA? Can I make unlimited deposits into this ISA throughout the tax year, up to the annual allowance?
TIA

You're right - I can't see the funding window mentioned anywhere on the product page or within the fixed rate ISA T&Cs... which is poor.WLewer98 said:I would like to open the Lloyds 5.45% fixed rate 1 year cash ISA but I’m struggling to make sense of the T&C’s.

There are a few providers who do allow you to contribute throughout the duration of the fixed rate period, but I wouldn't presume that Lloyds are one of these as the majority have a limited funding window for new cash subscriptions. This can be anything from a week or two up to a month, in my experience.1 -
You might have seen this, as far as I can see only reference to further deposits.WLewer98 said:I would like to open the Lloyds 5.45% fixed rate 1 year cash ISA but I’m struggling to make sense of the T&C’s.

"Interest We pay fixed interest – this means your interest rate won't change during your chosen fixed rate term (although the amount of interest you earn will vary if you withdraw some of your savings or pay more in)"
"Saving" to me indicates can make ongoing deposits, best to check with Lloyds Bank

Thank you both
I have finally managed to speak to someone at Lloyds to clarify the funding window for this ISA. The assistant confirmed that “deposits can be made throughout the term (within ISA rules) to make full use of the yearly cash ISA allowance”.

Ordered the form to open a JISA for my son but the ID requirements are more of a drama than I can be bothered with.
Certified copy of his passport with a specific list of people who can do it, none of which we actually know so I would need to ask around.
Then an NHS card or document dated in the last year with his details on it. We don’t have one of those either.
Will just leave it in a savings account for now, it was given to him when his gran died as an inheritance from the estate so it’s not liable for tax anyway.0 -
I just logged in to my Leeds account and applied for the easy access ISA. They use the faster "electronic" transfer scheme so thought it would be fast and easy.dlevene said:
Top easy access too - 4.2%, same as Principality. Min operating deposit £1000, accept transfers, non flexible.bristolleedsfan said:https://www.leedsbuildingsociety.co.uk/savings/isa-tax-free-accounts/ Topping 1-3 + 5 year
Unfortunately, they want me to print off the ISA application form and send it to them. You don't find this out until right at the end of the application.
Most annoying!
Might not bother with it now. There will be a better rate along in a few minutes!3 -
Yes, it is really annoying when a bank/building society are part of the electronic transfer system for ISA's and they still require a wet signature and hard copy form. A number of them do sadly. Just makes the whole process more complicated and lengthy. I opened an ISA with the Swansea BS and they said they were part of the electronic transfer system but insisted on doing everything by post. Even when I wanted to transfer out elsewhere they sent me form to sign and return before they would transfercharlie12525 said:

But bear in mind that maturity date is 4th September so actually a bit longer than 1/2years and probably already pricing in the next BOE increase!1 -
Just tried opening one. Bit of a faff but got there eventually. Started with a smallish transfer and will add some more once account and mobile app up and runningbristolleedsfan said:Wow for ISA rate competition
