  • So when is the clever money on institutions releasing their tremendously generous Cash ISA 2015/16 rates?

Will they wait until the budget in mid March so that they dont risk having to do the rework they needed last year after the (N)ISA changes announced in last years budget?

Have you had magic mushrooms for breakfast? There is no reason for any ISA provider to bring out any great deals just because it's a new financial year.

I bet you'll be eating a magic mushroom flavoured hat when at least a couple of institutions release details of some 'decent' regular saver type of cash ISAs in a few weeks.

    Up for that bet?

I fear we have wildly different definitions for 'decent'.

The clever money isn't using cash ISAs at all.

How about 5%? 10x the base rate sounds pretty good....

I'd be happy to bet no ISA will offer that this year.

I remember the same arguments last year and two institutions came up with nisa regular savers at 4%.

At £1250 per month they suited me perfectly.

Mind you am a bit of a thicky.

A 4% regular saver that's available in a tiny geographical area for a limited period is no use at all for people throughout the country who are looking to put £15,240 away on April 6, or to people who are looking for regular deposits but don't live in the tiny geographical area.

Saffon B.S had no such limit. I live hundreds of miles away.

Dont all products have 'a limited period'

Apologies - I had missed the update on this thread that regular savers (n)ISAs should be left off here.
