Very weird - just done a google search for Virgin ISA issue 65 and only one PDF file comes up. This is not some phantom ISA is it? It doesn't show anywhere except from the link that has been posted. Where did the link come from? Still don't understand why the guy at their office did not mention it to me when I asked for the choices that I had??
So if I open one, I have 30 days to fund it - is that 30 days from opening it or 30 days after they pull it? Does it also mean that I will not be able to transfer my another ISA whose rate tumbles to 0.5% in June 2014?
Thanks in advance.
put it this way, it let me apply and gave me an account number as part of the application process. and the detailed product info clearly shows the rate effective from 24 feb 2014

it looks like payments have to be in within 30 days of the account being opened.MFW#105 - 2015 Overpaid £8095 / 2016 Overpaid £6983.24 / 2017 Overpaid £3583.12 / 2018 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2019 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2020 Overpaid £2583.12/ 2021 overpaid £1506.82 /2022 Overpaid £2975.28 / 2023 Overpaid £2677.30 / 2024 Overpaid £2173.61 Total OP since mortgage started in 2015 = £37,286.86 2025 MFW target £1700, payments to date at April 2025 - £1712.07..0 -
With regards to the virgin money isa linked to , cant be absolutely sure about the issue number but appears to be identical to the ones that were withdrawn about a fortnight ago. Which kind of suggests that some ones failed to remove a link from some obscure corner of their website.0

fingers crossed if thats the case they honour the application. is there a precedent for this type of thing does any one know? If so did the provider reject the application or accept it in the end?MFW#105 - 2015 Overpaid £8095 / 2016 Overpaid £6983.24 / 2017 Overpaid £3583.12 / 2018 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2019 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2020 Overpaid £2583.12/ 2021 overpaid £1506.82 /2022 Overpaid £2975.28 / 2023 Overpaid £2677.30 / 2024 Overpaid £2173.61 Total OP since mortgage started in 2015 = £37,286.86 2025 MFW target £1700, payments to date at April 2025 - £1712.07..0 -
Virgin.
I reckon they are accounts yet to officially launch, maybe Monday?
I don't think they are the ones pulled last month that someone has simply found a link to as I opened the 5 year fix and its expiry is the 24/01/2019 whereas the new one linked above is 24/05/2019.0 -

i think you could be onto something there, as when i have looked on the virgin site for interest rates on closed issue accounts, none that show as withdrawn have the exact expiry dates as being offered now and do not have the same name (couldn't find any titled Cash E ISA with the numbers above, go up to issue 64 on the withdrawn list)
they were issue 62 3% till 24.1.19, issue 64 2.4% till 24 feb 2017 and issue 63 1.85% until 24 feb 2015

Sorry if I am asking an obvious question, did you ring to apply for this account, or was it available on line. I have had a look at the link and the website but could not find a link to apply online.
Thanks0 -

Are people thinking of these for the new tax year ?
I'm confused whether I can add money to that virgin one after 30 days.0 -
Scroll up a bit to the 3 links pointing to the ISAs, click on the one that you want then click on the big red 'Apply Now' button that is on the right hand side of each product page.
Thanks for that, I kept clicking on the terms and conditions, and could not find where you applied, rather than the ISA itself. Thanks again, feel a bit silly now.0 -
My account is showing as open today (applied yesterday) so now I have 30 days to fund it - which will be on day 28 when the new tax year starts - unless anything better comes along.0
