I had a letter from ING the other day telling me that the interest on cash isa is going to go down to 2. something % I thought flipping heck. I have thought about moving for a while now but after receiving that I thought I have to look around. As its so close to Christmas I'll leave it till afterwards but ING must be one of the worst ones for interest. Is Halifax isa ok?Thanx

I hope so because I did the same. My cheque hasn't been cashed yet though so I hope it's just because they're busy.0 -

Just went to apply for it and found it's closed to new applications on their site.0

If your application is in the post, they'll honour it. Ditto the pending transfer in.0

Unfortunately you could not download an application form, it was "closed", so am going for the Cheshire one at the same rate before that disappears.0

Thanks for this very helpful thread, I got my first ISA a couple of years back - a mini e-ISA with Natwest. Just checked and the interest rate is 3.5, time to move I think0

Hello,
I think Halifax is not bad. Still waiting to see if I got in before their lates rate change (they say they'll honour any rates promised for 60 days from date promised).
Here's a link to their ISA page:

Best of luck.
