hi guys, I took pc back to factory settings about 9 months ago.
Tried to use Media Player, very seldom use it, but cannot get it up.
Nothing happens at all.
Tried re-downloading it from windows, but only xp version, which says I have later version on, vista premium, and cannot use it, to repair or use it.
Is there a fix, or download for vista version, ??
don,t want to go to hassle of using os cds.
or, would another media download be better?
obviously didn,t instal right when I re-installed, or update missing, corrupted:beer:

VLC's a better player on just about every front.I'm dreaming of a white Christmas.
But, if the white runs out, I'll drink the red.0 -
Assuming Windows media player 11, then this may help.
This is a direct link to the Cumulative Update

It probably won't uninstall but it may roll back to another version, then you can see if it works
With most programmes I look for a customised install option now, as it shows what it will install as standard when you click through the install pages0 -

Does it show if you tick show installed updates at the top?
Though if you don't use it, it being there won't be much of a problem0
