I got a couple of these, no issues at all & they are also compatible with 3D. Wher you can purchase from the ok fort of your armchair & no fuel costs involved.

I'm just off to B&Q to pick up a carbon fibre, molybdenum/kevlar lined wartering can. I don't like taking chances with the inferior plastic examples.

Isn't this the core point, though?

The cheap cables are less likely to 'meet the standard' as consistently as the better-made, more expensive ones.....
The point is that if they don't meet the standard then they don't qualify as HDMI cables, and are therefore fakes.

Picked up a cable in Poundland Inverurie.
    Foolish not to.

Now I just need to find something to connect it to!

Would you rather buy 13 Ladas, or one Rolls-Royce, when you can only drive one? I'd have the Rolls-Royce.

Not quite the right analogy. Should be 'would you want 13 scarlett johansson in bed with you, or just the one?'

I had no joy with Poundland, but we also have a 99p store and they have plenty of them and of course they are only 99p.

They work perfectly well - why pay more?

Try looking on the local market, there are usually stalls selling ones from poundland at the knock down price of £1.50 - lol
