Morning everyone,
Hilstep hope you get better soon.
Hester hope you have a better day today.
Hugs for Molly and LW.
Flutterby have a good time.
Redruby hope that you are ok.
Sistercas good luck to your DD.
DD1 is now on her 3rd set of antibiotics for this horrible ear infection, this lot are like horse pills! She has gone back to school today with loads of painkillers to get her through.
I am at work today trying to get through huge piles of marking inbetween the lessons. Hopefully I won't have to take any home tonight with me.
Tea tonight is a pasta sauce made with the remains of some ham that we baked on holiday.
Have a lovely day everyone.:)0 -
floss sounds exciting for the DSs

moorhen hope the antibiotics work for DD this time

Morning all. Another manky day, already fed up of this week. I hope the rain stops so I can go out for a walk. Other than that today not much planned, OU assignment, making flapjacks and doing an exercises DVD. OH brought the rest of his junk from his old flat last night so the corridor and spare room are a tip all over again and I am not cleaning it up again.
I keep meaning to make twinks hobnobs as people rave about them but I'm... scared :rotfl:Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -
Just got back from Docs, I have got a UTI.
On the anti-biotics now, so hopefully I won't fall so much.
Got a wet bottom though:rotfl: It rained when I was in Docs, and my mobility scooter doesn't have a raincover, so drying out now!I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Can I ask something? Does the lady who had all the children still post on here? Pigpen? Not sure she posted on the daily, but was very often on OS. I am asking out of sheer curiosity.0

Hello everyone.
Sorry I didn't come back to the thread straight after my holiday - I was poorly for a few days (just the usual post-holiday lupus flare, nothing to get excited about) and also I got a canine guest at short notice, so been really busy trying to keep on top of RL.:o
Lottie Spaniel is currently curled up on the sofa beside me - I've got her til Friday; when she goes home, Sidny Schnauzer will be arriving!:D
I haven't read back over the thread, so (((HUGS))), posi-vibes and general good wishes for all, as needed.:ohilstep2000 wrote: »Was awake at 3am again, thinking about my Mamma. I need to throw a duster round the lounge at some point; and Lottie will be looking for her lunchtime walkies, so I'd better shift my posterior into gear now.;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Good morning all,or should really be afternoon I suppose
<<hugs>> to all who are having a hard time at the moment. For some reason it always feels worse when its raining and grey outside.Well I did the school run then thought I will treat myself to a 'seniors cinema' which is local to me, you get a movie a cuppa and a biscuit all for £3.00.So off I trundled at 10.20 in the rain to the cinema, queued for ages and got four from the front when the notice went up 'all sold out this morning' Grrr so I went back home and decided to fix my shower. The bit that holds the shower head had snapped off ,an hour later, and some pretty unladylike cussing I managed to undo a screw and get the 'riser' off which I took to my local plumbing merchants and got replaced .Came home and fixed the shower all back together and am sitting patting myself on the back as it cost me £11.45 for the part and nowt but a few cusswords to get it sorted .
A local firm had quoted me £25.00 parts plus £48.00. labour plus VAT so I feel quite pleased that I figured out how to replace the part myself .
NSDs foodwise this week as I got more than enough last Friday. The weather is appalling though at the moment I can't believe how much it has been raining.I had an email from my cousin in Oz and where her and her OH are in their motor caravan the water temp for swimming is 33c in Banyan Farm on the Daly River. She sent some photos and it looks amazing .
Just had an email from eldest DD their school summer fete has been cancelled because of the weather and its such a shame as the children all have such a good time and it raises valuble funds for the school (its a special needs school so funds are always short )
I think we'll all be paddling around with flippers at this rate .The flooding is dreadful for folk though, to see all your stuff being ruined some of which Photos etc are irreplaceable .
Right I'm just off to rummage for some lunch
Take care everyone and stay dry if you can
Cheers JackieO xxx0 -
Well done, JackieO. I'm a fan of fix-it-yourself; as long as you make a note of what goes where as you dismantle something (I sometimes use the digital camera and take photos - you can always delete them once the job's done) then you shouldn't get into too much difficulty.:o
Dry walkies for Lottie today, unlike yesterday; luckily Mr LW has put his waterproof over-trousers and jacket at my disposal!:D Not very elegant, but when it's pouring with rain, who cares?:rotfl:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Hello all
Sending positive thoughts to all that need them.
Another day at home for me. Had some HM soup and bread for lunch, with a HM chocolate brownie for afters. Mmmmmm!!!
Getting on with the washing and drying it on the airers before our trip to Devon on Saturday. Not camping though, which looking at the weather is just as well!
Have washed up and wiped up. Am going to put my waterproofs on and go for a walk on the seafront, feeling a bit of cabin fever! Going to try and have a bit of a declutter and sort out uni paperwork I no longer need later.
Dinner will be leftover gammon from Sunday, marinated in a jerk-style sauce, with wedges and peas. Love being old style!
Have a great day all!Official DFW Nerd no. 082! :cool:Debt @ 01/01/2014 £16,956 Debt now: £0.00 :j
