OK....had a really good play with a virtual make-over website and got some ideas for new styles.
Have put the resulting images on my blog. If anyone would be kind enough to give an opinion on which hairstyle suits me best, please shout! I can't put website address on here I think (against forum rules?) but will gladly PM it. Or it's on my profile I think!
Also any recommendations for really good hairstylists in Leeds and Manchester, please let me know.0 -

I think styles 1 and 3 combined so a long layered cut with a side fringe, I also like both colours on you:)All power is from within and therefore under our control0

Thank you!

Glad you like 1 - that's my favourite. Wondering about number 3 but with the colour of number 1!0 -
I like number 4 but love the colour of 6 on you - really they all look good apart from 1 - you seem to suit the shorter styles best IMO. You have really pretty eyes which is even more noticeable with the shorter ones.0

I really like 3 and 5!

Congratulations on your new look!
I've got a regular hairdresser now, but when i floated between different hairessers i felt their style suggestions depended on what i was wearing. If i went in 'comfy' or work clothes rather than a more stylish outfut, i got an average looking bob. Whereas if i wore something a bit more trendy i always got something slightly different -more choppy, more graduated etc (still a bob though!!!)
Make sure you wear you new clobber wherever you go so they get a sense of what suits your features as well as your personal style. If you are happy with the hairdresser you have, just look over some magazines for inspiration and take them with you.0 -
I haven't read the other replies so apolagise if I'm repeating what others have said
Have you looked on the deal websites ( groupon , living social, deal monster.. I'm sure there are more) I bought a cut, blow dry and colour for about £18 in a really trendy salon, the girl that did it spent time listening to me and advising what would be a good cut and colour for my shape/ skin
I was REALLY pleased and would no doubt get one again
Good luck x0 -
Just had a look at Groupon - there was one salon but it was a bit of a trek. How do you tell if it'll be any good? Thank you for all the replies. Am feeling much more confident!0

Hi there - I live in Manchester and wanted a restyle recently so went to the Toni and Guy training salon/academy. It took longer than normal, but cost about £15 and I was really pleased with the result. I was probably the oldest "model" there (I'm in my mid 30s) but who cares?:)0
