Hoarding...not just on TV

  • Just lost cat#2 this morning.

Have been decluttering overgrown and frost scorched plants in the garden as a result. Made the necessary digging sort of easier, as no getting pulled around by thorns, prickles and plants.

Halfway through a major clean out. Handy, really, as the oven, kettle and toaster have all stopped working this week. So need the place looking better. And there's a futon that never gets used that can go, too.

Now regarding various other items, such as the battered telly, washing machine, dishwasher and bed, with baleful eyes, daring them to self destruct as well.

Does anyone feel like sending some hoarded luck my way at all?
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

  • Ah Jojo, you are not having a good run:( Really sorry for the loss of your cat.

Removed from attic for use, or to cs or dump pile today:
    • 3 x pillows (sitting in attic) for c.s
    • one pair of 90 x 90 curtains for c.s. (replaced these with brand new faux silk ones bought in C.S. 6 months ago which I put up today that look much nicer)
    • new mattress protector in attic, still in packaging from 6years ago now on bed and old one in dump pile
    • unframed picture I have had for 20 yrs now in frame from attic.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

Been a bad little hoarder today :o

Took a dress to the cs - and walked out with 2 tops. Then went to millets and came out with 3 t-shirts and a pair of walking shoes. On the up-side I made them keep the shoe box so I couldn't hoard it :D

A bit like re-arranging the deck-chairs on the titanic but damage limitation none-the-less.

Replaced the eaten peanuts for Christmas Eve and seem to have eaten them again. Going to give up buying them until nearer the time I thinkg :D

    Yay, good one:T

Re the peanuts, had the same problem with toffees for family members chistmas pressie a few year ago. Has to be an annual 24th dec purchase now:o:D

  • Oh Jo-Jo how sad for you, after all her care as well
And the sad little ritual in the garden is so difficult isn't it - I hope you planted her some bulbs

On a more practical note - is there any chance that you are getting a power surge taking out appliances? I know you are a practical person so have probably checked fuses ...
