I dericharded my jimmy beans before moving in with Errant Husband, & my bunny - I want them now! My bunny was the bestest for cuddling when I was sad or ill...
Anyway, I used to have a storage trolley as bedside table, so I could store lots of dust & rubbish on the racks... So I got rid of that some time ago & use the top of my chest of drawers. Which holds an extension lead for bedside lamp, clock radio alarm, phone charger as needed; there is also an inhaler, my glasses when I take them off for sleeping, my mobile phone as back up alarm, my bible & 3 other books, 2 photos of my sons. I have reduced stuff on there recently.
When I had a good cleaning routine (& didn't work so much) I did it once a month & only put back what I needed on there, I've not got back into a routine yet.
Bag ready for cs today, contains assorted stuff including my wedding dress. Time for it to go. I actually tried cs ing it when Errant Husband was still here but he felt I should sell it not donate it, but I didn't want to sell then & don't now. So I'm not.0 -
If I tried to cuddle either of my bunnies they'd have my flipping arm off, grumpy beasts.
I used to have a cupboard with many shelves as my bedside table but it ended up being full of junk so that is now in the spare room and we have tables with a small drawer. On the top lives a lamp, a coaster, the radio and a metal pot - there's nothing in it, I use it to prop the door open when the window's open now I use the iron for ironing. In the drawer is a small box with a glasses cleaning cloth, some tissues, ipod plus my glasses case, notepad and pen, wind up torch and Mr Beans.0 -
okay my bedside has
On top - box of tissues, alarm clock, glasses in case
On shelf - bedtime book, deodorant and body spray, nebuliser

Bag gone to CS - actually 1 carrier full of stuff, wedding dress and 2 coat hangers. When the boys were younger, I'd bought the child size hangers & now they are bigger, I keep finding them & taking off to the CS.
Had a mooch round q d first while waiting for it to open, nothing desirable in there (hence q d & not somewhere with more tempting stuff!), and a look round CS once donation handed over, but resisted stuff. They did have a teapot but it's a little bit bigger than I want & not a colour that I want for my kitchen either.

Very well done on CSing your wedding dress. What a generous person you are, and what happiness that will give someone else as well as raising money for a good cause.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0

My glasses

A lamp
A clock
an ornamental frog
a small painted ornamental fish - wood
a small painted ornamental fish - glass
a large stone painted to look like a fish
a plastic cd rack in the shape of - guess?
a fish egg cup
a freebie glass paperweight from the guinness museum in Dublin which has a drop of Guinness in it. OH doesn't drink Guinness
a small stone painted like a ladybird
A machine from the £1 shop that makes various noises (bomb, cash register, telephone, vomitting (really!!), f*rting, fanfare)
This man is in a reasonably senior position in one of the biggest companies in the country and is a former JP.
I despair, really I do. I have recently removed a plastic yellow fish which sat in a hat with stars and stripes on it - unbelievably he hasn't noticed yet :rotfl:I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Yowch.
Just found out I have been absolutely ripped to pieces by DD.
If even half of what she has said was even half true, I would have been in prison by now. And quite rightly so.
I never thought she could be quite so vicious as the ex, but she's actually even worse.
And to add to it, she's been believed. Totally. 100%.
In any case, have done a huge shop of cupboard staples to get me through lean times ahead. No aspirational food purchases - basics tomatoes and beans, mostly.
And I'm debating whether to give in to the urge to post the ex's dating website profile to his partner. Or to be the nice, kind, gentle, reasonable person I thought I was. I'm veering towards the nasty right now, though.
Oh sod it. I'm having a beer.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
That's really hard to hear Jo-Jo, I am hoping as she grows up she will realise how unreasonable she was. Girls and mothers, well the relationship is fraught at the best of times, and with an ex who is obviously letting her say these things, it makes it much harder.
People may believe it, but I would hope some don't. You are her scapegoat right now and it's very unfair. If she has a sensible person to refer back and remind her of the facts that would help, but it seems not.
I would be very tempted about the dating site link...sometimes though, not doing anything works better, and no doubt she will find out one day.
Hugs. :A0
