Got 4 sets of sale bras n Knicks from debenhams. But with 2 sizes Knicks as I plan to lose weight after this week
I also bought clothes in the sale in Mr A's which I wouldn't have done if I hadn't gone for a nosey. (they were between £1-£3 and I actually got a very good previously £18 cardi for £1).
OK, just offering food for thought here, def not having a go:
you haven't lost the weight yet have you, so there is a good chance these extra knicks will just be aspirational/guilt stuff for some time. I say lose the weight first, then enjoy buying new knicks and throwing out the old. There are always cheep knicks for sale.
Did you need a new cardigan? It might have been a financial bargain but if you didn't need it and your wardrobe is already bulging then it is adding to your problem of excess 'stuff'.
This is why shopping as a hobby is dangerous - one ends up browsing and buying stuff you didn't know you needed, lol.
Sales are very clever, they pull us in even if we don't really need anything.
Perhaps get rid of two unworn/unloved things in your wardrobe to make up for the new cardie? Because there has to be something you won't wear now because you're be wearing your lovely new cardie instead.

I know, I know, I can get cheap ones but I like matching sets and wanted it still to fit (never lose up top)

Re the cardi, I could have done with one wouldn't have been buying one at full price though.

It's more the stuff for dd that was expensive (even though on offer) and completly unnecessary but clothes ARE my downfall, and believe me, this is me being restrained!

I have to buy a blazer badge but other than that (unless youngests school shoes granny has bought her are still too big and she needs a proper fitting pair) I pledge to buy NO MORE CLOTHING this month!!!

(and by this month I mean pay month! 27th jul to 26th aug!)

I think anyone listing purchases here are great as it give an opportunity to discuss and analyse.:T

Hi JoJo, good luck with the application. Don't know if this helps but just to say when I have been recruiting I have taken at least as much notice of the covering letter as the CV; a lot of people don't submit a covering letter or say why they want the job.

If there is a section on the application form to say why you want the job or to talk about yourself, as Byatt says, this is where you will sell yourself and make yourself stand out.

A lady at work is doing a massive walk/stroll/slog/hike thingy somewhere foreign for a worthwhile cause. :j

To start, she has to raise £thousands to earn her place on the team. :(

We were kicking around a few ideas and we thought about carbooting - she can drive, she's got a car, why not?

I took that as a personal challenge - as well as some nice stuff (old cameras, sterling silver pill holder, an old Russian Palekh box), I dragged out any old random toot from the back of cupboards like a masher, frying slice, pressure cooker, lunch box, three packets of wash-in denim blue dye, a collection of trouser or skirt hangers, some old combs and hairbrushes (bleached and thoroughly cleaned) and a storage crate.

Add to that a haul from the vacuum storage bags from under my bed.

A double duvet, a side opening single duvet cover and pillowcase, one fairly random floral pillowcase, a set of double bedding, one double purple (purple?) fitted sheet, two fairly wimpy pillows, a set of double mattress and pillow protectors and the vacuum bags that they were stored in.

I loaded up my luggage trolley and dragged it all into work today - one crate and two ballooning bin bags.

I've also thrown out a now buggin' but once beautiful quilt from the back of a lorry that was being used to protect fine furniture. My brother borrowed the van to help me move and thought I could do something with it.

Yeah, vacuum seal it in a bag for seven years and forget it was there - only to find after I opened it up that there was buggy damage all over the thing and it smelt horrendous!
    _pale_  _pale_

I also chucked a lumpy single quilt that looked okay from one end but was yellow with sweat at the other end _pale_

So now, I've got a mahoosive space under my SINGLE bed (purple DOUBLE fitted sheet, !!!!!!!?) that's easier to keep clean and the colleague has stuff to sell without me having to hand over actual cash - I'm a bit skint after paying back a huge lump of my overdraft.

I'm just a little too embarrassed to give her the Mills & Boon books - I'll hand them on to a charity shop :shhh:

Good luck with you job application JoJo! :)
 Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway...
