INFLOOR.CO.UK has gone bust???

Hi.
INFLOOR flooring has gone bust???
trading name for MacFarlane-Watson Corp. Ltd.
I bought my flooring online in may 2012. Never been delivered. They do not respond to phone calls/emails. Store in Edinburgh closed. Web site still active however unable to log in.
I phoned companieshouse.gov.uk on 9.06.12. They do not have any record of that company going into liquidation. Advised to check later. How can I find out? Can i get my money back? I paid with visa debit card.?
I've got no floor my house is a mess. Please help....

In-floor is a trading name of MacFarlane-Watson Corp. Ltd.
Registered in Scotland. Company Number SC264959.
    MacFarlane-Watson Corp. Ltd., 22 Backbrae Street, Kilsyth, G65 0NH.
    VAT number: GB 852 986 085.

Still appear to be up and running. If your problem is with non-delivery and you paid by Visa debit, contact your bank and insist on a chargeback.
(Indeed, threatening to do that can sometimes force suppliers to wake up.)

  • To answer your query: They have gone into liquidation.
I also placed flooring on order via credit card. Goods did not arrive.
Started to try an make contact - no response from on line site or from Head Office or any of the shops.I reported my suspicions to Card company and IMRG Org the online trading body. Please read their response:-
    Good Morning Mr XXXXXXXXXXXX

Thank you for sending us your complaint regarding Infloor.

I have now managed to speak to a member of staff who workedfor Infloor and he has informed me that the company went into liquidation ofthe 30th May 2012.

If you paid for the items by a credit card, can I suggestthat you contact your credit card company and explain the situation to them. They will be able to help you with this situation.

If you paid by a Debit Card, again, speak to your cardprovider who will be able to offer you guidance on how to proceed.

In the meantime, if I can be any further assistance, pleasedo not hesitate to contact me.

    Kind Regards

We too paid a deposit to Infloor then couldn't get any response when we tried to arrange delivery. So far my credit card company have been very helpful - will never again grudge paying the credit card supplement!

this is the risk you take trying to save money on using a tradesman, yes you save a few quid, but with a tradseman you get to pay up when you are happy with the job, using on-line LTD company merchants, you take your chances.
