Sista, sorry this is about the other issue as I woke up this morning looking forward to my breckie then started worrying about you. Are you seeing someone about the eating disorder?

Nightmare about the school jumpers, just discovered DS has gone through the heel of his school shoes and DD announced her trainers don't fit anymore! Going to try tesco see if they've got anything reasonable. Think how rich we'd all be without the kids!!

tis true but having children makes us rich in so many other ways..........:)

 no, it'll pass i'm sure. It comes and goes :o (even though it's always there in the back of my brain) If DH and i are home with the kids on a weekend then he'll cook a fry up and i'll eat it...then i'll fast for the rest of the week only eating 1 meal a day :o that's just the way it goes.

I'd defo be a millionaire if it wasn't for the kids :rotfl:

  • Diary update for the day....

CC are refunding my £32 on the 23rd
Spent more than planned today smiley-angry014.gif £6.50 on parking the car for 2hrs 20mins !!!! blimmin rip off. 100 mile round trip drank the petrol too even though i had in my mind MSE petrol dieter facts about not accelerating hard and keeping a steady speed.....
Also popped into a different supermarket with sis as she wanted to do a bit of shopping and i spend £3.49 on 2 jars of curry sauce (99p each, they're £1.99 at our supermarket) and an ainsley harriet lentil curry dry mix thing for £95p which looked as if it would do a meal for all of us (just add chicken) oh and some chewing gum.:D

Found myself heading straight for the meat section to see if there was any bargains to be had...there wasn't. Which is probably a good thing seeing as i am already on an overspend for the week

Kids had the 12p rice pudding for desert with a little bit of jam and loved it so, result smiley-cool05.gif

BTW i have Badger to [STRIKE]blame [/STRIKE] thank for these smilies :D Thanks Badger:D

Wow, what a rip-off for the parking! Still sounds like the 12p pud was well worth it :D I have to say though that meat bargains seem to be getting very thin on the ground. I started looking at WWII rationing recipes to make the meat go further and incorporate some of them (somehow!) into the weekly plan. Spam fritter, anyone?

Seriously though, it can be really difficult to make it stretch but I think I'm getting the hang of it now. Where there's a will there's a way!

  • Well today i was a little smiley-angry019.gif
not getting my £32 refund as when i called to close the account and paid by debit card the lady said 'account now closed' i then asked her if it was safe to cancel the DD my end to which she replied 'yes as you've given us plenty of notice'

I then get a call from MBNA saying i have an upaid DD as the DD was rejected. Well of course it bl@@dy was! you said i could cancel it
Anyway called them and they are refunding the £12 charge for unpaid DD and confirmed the account is closed save from the small amount of interest due on the 29th. I did dble check they wouldn't try and take this and charge me again and she said 'no' so we'll see.

    :wall:

On the plus side had a NSD today. 3 DD's still to come out of account between now and pay day (29th) but smiley-happy088.gif that DH has been offered extra hours this saturday so pay should be good.
Really want to get the debt down to £18,500 by mid July maybe more we'll see fingers crossed for that one....

Very pleased that DH is out tonight so the TV is mine, all mine and no blinkin footie smiley-sport029.gif

Kitchenbunny, i know what you mean about the meat thing, the only thing they seem to have there are sausages.

hope you love aldi, I'm a new convert the meat is definitely good, their big packs of mince are much better than asd@ and the chicken etc is good too, just don't get carried away with all the offers (which are great) but we probably dont need, don't take the children :rotfl:

ps the wine/cider is pretty good too!
