  • Well, we've decided we're going to buy a 2nd hand Humax :):)
If we can get one for £100 ish then this will pay for itself in 3 months once we cancel Sky so :T

    :T :TYay!
This will then put all our debts on 0% for another 13 months at least
Aim to pay off these 2 cards by end of 0% leaving just the third and final card to go which is still on long term 0%

    All sounding good!:)
    Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
    2016 Sell: £125/£250
    £1,000 Emergency Fund Challenge #78 £3.96 / £1,000
    Vet Fund: £410.93 / £1,000
Debt free & determined to stay that way!

    Hi Sista,

Great news on the card, bet you are so pleased. And bet you can't wait to get rid of Sky, I know how much I enjoyed telling them I was cancelling :rotfl:

mmmmm think I may have to have another go & see if I can get a reduction - I managed to get 6 months 1/2 price the last time I threatened to cancel. Not sure how many times they offer that!

Now before anyone says anything "I know" :obut I did without it for 7+ years while I cleared my debt and promised myself I'd get it back when the debts went (which I did) - and I do only have the basic package (downstairs only - have FreeSat upstairs).

It's my only entertainment allowance .... honestly / seriously - I never go out (one meal out this year which was a birthday treat) and I don't do pubs /clubs now .... and the cinemas to far to justify fuel costs (50 mile round trip) so ... that's kind of how I justify it but hate paying for it:rotfl:

Going to pay an additional £80 off the debt this fri as we had some christmas ££ given to us, and seeing as the £ spent on the freesat was taken out of savings we'll be paying it back every month with £ from the cancelled Sky subscription  we thought we'd just pay it off the 16 odd grand :rotfl:
