Well here i am
Where to start? from the beginning i guess.
Well my story is not unfamiliar..living beyond means....blah....spend too much on shoes...blah....same old really but 19K :eek: when the blummin hell did that happen?
Let me introduce myself first, i'm sista and contrary to my user name i am not from another mista.
I guess the debt really started around 10-12 years ago when i applied for a laugh (believing i'd get a flat no) for a capital 1 card, however they said yes. Looking back now, bad news for me but fan-blummin-tastic news for them.
I had a fairly modest limit of £850 which was gone in no time on 'emergencies' although i can't remember what these are now......obviously wasn't that much of an emergency.
I then applied for another one 'just to see' and all of a sudden had another £1000 at my disposal! :T i thought.
we are now determined to get this debt cleared as soon as physically possible
yay me :rotfl:
That's about all for now i think i may have said enough.

Diary update for today.....
This counting every penny lark is a bit boring isn't it? i find myself keeping a more than eager eye on the bag of coins in the drawer and quizzing DH if he so much as goes within a foot of it
I mentioned to him last night about him giving up smoking  no way jose was the answer i got , mind you it is his only little joy (although that joy may kill him one day) ah well there's no telling him.
Smallest DS sold some games on the bay of flea a few months back and made £80  obviously it went straight from paypal and into my bank account and the intention was to withdraw the cash to give to him........i've spent iti know, i know i am a really bad mother as now he keeps asking for it:o so a dip into savings tomorrow....
Went shopping on friday (haven't been food shopping for about 7yrs:eek:) i couldn't believe how much bread is! lol. Told DH we need to invest in a bread maker as i'm sure i could make it cheaper. However i am NO Delia smith and my only speciality is omlettei even had to ask DH how long i needed to boil peas for...... but i'm sure using a bread maker is easy...right?
I did pick up rice pudding for 12p a tin  my kids will eat anything so i'm sure it'll be fine. got some jam to go in it too which was reduced to clear. £63 spent so really pleased with that.
I even had a look in the reduced bit, now i'm not a snob but before i was a DFW i sort of frowned at people 'rummaging' through the clearanceand would never contemplate it. Now..:D i'm the first one there.
I don't eat during the day (only have my main meal in the evening) so this keeps our bill down somewhat, plus the kids have school dinners (apparently it's not 'cool' to take packed lunches!) However i can't see how some people can do a weeks food shopping for £60 as our bill doesn't include any meat (we buy wholesale once every 8 weeks and spend around £100)
Dh batch cooks and everything is from scratch, no sauces out of a jar. It amazes me and i'd love to see their reciept...
Anyways, that's me, god i do go on........DEBT FREE AND PROUD'Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt'0
