We had a great time and made the best of it, went for a mooch every day and luckily found an english bar - up a great big hill - that did sanmigel for about £1.50 a pint and very nice it was too.
We had a very good meal there too for about £10 each - however we found most other places very expensive.
Must say that since discovering the AI jolly, we would never do anything else, there is always a choice, but we still splash out at least once in a local.
xx
We don't tend to do package holidays now so that's why we got it so cheap, flight direct with ryanair and then hotel booked on travelrepublic, we didn't get tranfers have arranged a minibus to get us at airport for £20 a head (return). Works out sooo much cheaper !
I would never go AI and be one of those people who don't step out the resort. As much as I like to lounge about the pool I do like to explore, go walks, do some shopping, visit other bars, eating places etc.
If we go to Cuba next year we will be spending 3 days in Havana as I think it is a total waste going to a country like Cuba and spending all your time at the hotel. Friends of my parents do that and I really don't get it, why go all that way to see the same kind of pool you can get anywhere :eek:0 -
