spending money estimate

Just looking for a little advice.

Going to Majorca on Tuesday. Have been to the resort about 8 times but this is my first time All inclusive and first time with partner rather than a girls holiday.

How much spending money would you take ?

We go for 10 days, AI but will probably eat out 2/3 times. During day we tend not to do much other than sunbathe and swim. One day I will possibly be going into Palma (bf doesn't want to). AI ends at 11pm and we will be going out most nights aftwewards. We both like to drink.

There are 8 people in total going friends/family and my best friend is working in the resort this summer.

What do you think would be a reasonable amount to take ?

Seriously? If you've been eight times before I would have thought that you would be in the best position to answer your own question!

No need for cheeky answers such as do I need packing. No I don't , my slave does that for me.

Not rubbish food atall, food is nice but I also like resteraunts, we are AI mainly as it wasn't all that more expensive than s/c and we will be drinking during the day so it will work out better for us.

As I said only plan on eating out 2/3 times in 10 days. Definately 1 night at my fave eating place in the resort, possibly one day in Palma if we are still there at dinner time then I may want to go to either my fave place another time or go to a different place- for a bit of variety.

but i have never been all inclusive and it will be very different cost wise.

I did state all this had you bothered to read.

I only asked for some advice, not asking anyone to give me a kidney. For the time it took to write your replies you could have given an estimate.

I really wasn't trying to be rude; I am genuinely baffled as to why you don't already have a very good idea yourself!

You are familiar with the island; you should know how much it costs you to go out on the !!!! and you are talking of re-visiting favourite restaurants - who else will know better than you what costs are involved?

As a starting point I would take less than if you were going ten days B&B or HB, you can always draw more money out as and when you need it in resort.

    How?

How long is a bit of string.

How much are you going to drink after 11 . how much is a drink ?
Too many variables, only you can answer.

I have been Ai for the past three years ( but won't be this year)
The hotels were very large and we had no reason to leave them , so spending money was small. Two years ago I think we spent just over a hundred pounds ( 3 adults) Last year it was less that £30

To sum up . tell us how much you are going to drink . how much a drink costs, what is the cost of a meal out times the number of diners and the tip........... and we might , just might make a guess.

Ps take a credit card , plenty of ATM's

edit , reason for dupilicate post ...... slow typing!

I know that usually a week AI I would personally take £600.

I have never been to the island with my partner before either so not sure how much will do a couple.

I am thinking £800... which gives £80 a day between us. I think that should be enough but open to oppinions. We go on tueday so I'm a bit worried as need to change money soon.

Eating out a few times while on AI seems reasonable whether it's because of a treat, a change or simple because of day trips. I never go AI, but I'm not sure I'd like the idea of eating 3 meals a day in the same place. There's more to be on an AI holiday than saving every penny possible and stuffing yourself with as much "free" food and drink as you can.

Glad I don't holiday there, £600 can do me for 2-3 months, including accommodation, food, transport and booze once I get there.
