Really ? Where do you go ?
It's Santa Ponsa which isn't particularly expensive. Usually two drinks for 6 euros. Food about 20-30euros if eating out ( there are more expensive places though)0 -
How?
How long is a bit of string.
How much are you going to drink after 11 . how much is a drink ?
Too many variables, only you can answer.
I have been Ai for the past three years ( but won't be this year)
The hotels were very large and we had no reason to leave them , so spending money was small. Two years ago I think we spent just over a hundred pounds ( 3 adults) Last year it was less that £30
To sum up . tell us how much you are going to drink . how much a drink costs, what is the cost of a meal out times the number of diners and the tip........... and we might , just might make a guess.
Ps take a credit card , plenty of ATM's
edit , reason for dupilicate post ...... slow typing!
Would be drinking from 11 til about 4am most nights, maybe 6 one night. drinks are about 2for 6euros.
Eating out probably 30euros on average including a tip.
I went AI in December last year and I think I spent £250, that was for a week but I bought myself a few dresses and a purse. Plus it was for my 21st so I didn't pay for many drinks or meals.0 -

Sorry, my original post there was wrong , I meant for 1 week self catering I would take £600, not AI.0 -
So you are giving advice , on Ai BUT you have never tried it ??I never go AI, but I'm not sure I'd like the idea of eating 3 meals a day in the same place. There's more to be on an AI holiday than saving every penny possible and stuffing yourself with as much "free" food and drink as you can.
Ps ....... if you ever want advice on brain surgery ... I will have a guess.
I have never over indulged on food/ drink on a holiday. But will try many different dishes ( very small portion) and have no qualms about ditching my plate if I don't like it. And returning and trying something else.
As for eating in the same place , hotels I went to have 6 restaurants on site, so boredom never set in.
con1888 don't get me wrong , my first Ai , I went back to the reception and asked was it customary to tip the waitress?
My choice last year ....

It's just the one buffet style resteraunt our hotel has. It's not a fancy hotel or that but food is okay - nothing extravagant but edible and fulfilling.
during the day we probably won't spend much atall so this is where the difference will come in as usually on holiday I would be going out for lunch and a drink or buy some alcohol from the booze stores. Don't tend to make any food in the apt when s/c from past experiences.0 -

Yes, was going to say the two of us did two weeks in Bali RO, ate like royalty, went out on the lash every night, had 5 days out travelling round the island, bought loads of presents and souvenirs and still spent less than £500!
Mind you, you'd probably manage all that on a quarter of that and still be home in time for tea and medals!

Yes, the major cost is the flight but once you get there you can have a fantastic time for very little money. You couldn't do 10 days for £430 but a budget of £1000 including flights, hotels and all spending money for a 2 week trip is perfectly possible.0
