I agree, as above. Refund via IBAN but deduct your £20 admin fee.0

Yes doingwhatican has the right idea. I need to pay ebay back and not the seller. I made sure I had the money from the seller before I told ebay. However ebay still went ahead and paid me.
Well I'll see what ebay says but there's no way I'm gonna pay £20 to pay them back. Its their mistake and I have the email I sent them to prove it. Ten days notice is enough.0 -
I would agree - advise them you will refund using what method they require - minus any fee you incur for doing so.DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

There's absolutely no reason that you should have to pay them via IBAN. They have perfectly adequate facilities to receive payments via debit/credit card. They OWN Paypal for goodness sake!
I would tell them that you're happy to return the money through Paypal or with your credit/debit card. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also ...0 -

I would also like you to send us proof of transfering money back to
eBay.

I'm not sure what to do.
Should I send the money minus the amount it costs me? If I do and ebay don't like it they might suspend my account?

Personally, I'd chance it and stand my ground. They screwed up - why pay a fee to put right their mistake? I'd be hopping mad!
Obviously it's your account though...My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
There is a simple solution. Simply do a BIC + IBAN transfer with THEIRS selected under who pays all bank charges - this way the recipient pays all the costs. You have the option with international bank transfers to select OURS, SHARED or THEIRS.
eBay could also request their bank to reverse the IBAN transfer - they'll need your permission in writing to do so."Money is truthful. If a person speaks of their honour, make sure they pay in cash."0
