I normally hate it when people do this, but feel as though your post needs querying.DVardysShadow wrote: »OP implies at least that the installation will be supplied from a dwelling,
Do they? where abouts?DVardysShadow wrote: »so Part P will apply to some extent
ONLY if it has some connection to a domestic dwelling according to Part P, I don't the document to hand so can't quote it.DVardysShadow wrote: »never mind where the stables are. More important is applying 7671 if you get my drift.

Ok, you have me there, but still don't see how stables apply to Part P. Unless like I have mentioned previous it is linked to a domestic dwelling.0 -

Whilst i don't disagree with having a properly qualified sparky doing the work there is nothing wrong in reading / learning about how something should be done.
It stops cowboys doing dangerous things for a start.
It also allows for people to understand what they are quoted for and to question if things don't look right.
A properly qualified engineer in any field shouldn't be upset by customers querying against quotes v's regs.
Keeping people in ignorance is never a good state of play (in my mind anyway).0
