Virgin Media Quidco declined?

Has anyone had their cashback declined? Have raised a claim with Quidco but had everything installed on 23/05/12, don't really want to cancel now. Tracked on 13/05/12

Cashback amount was for £142.50, internet only package, I did manage to get free install over the phone after placing the order online where it stated a £49.95 installation fee, could this be an issue? I wouldn't of thought so?

Any similiar stories with quidco and Virgin Media?

I think it would - if you got discounted installation, the incentive would most likely be lost.

it has to all be done online, by calling up they have cancelled your order and made a new one

Yep, you broke one of the rules to keep it all online. You didn't get an online deal, you negotiated a new deal.

I've just had my cashback declined, but I did it all online.

I chose the link on Quidco "Buy Virgin Media TV, Phone or Broadband or a combination of these and get £142.50 cashback (more details)", and I had phone+broadband installed.

I saved the Quidco page with the link and also my online order complete confirmation ("https://store.virginmedia.com/checkout/order-complete") page.

I also got free installation, but the T&Cs stated:
    • Earn cashback simply by clicking through to Virgin Media and shopping online as normal
    • Our cashback offer will be paid in addition to any offer on Virgin Media's website, unless a voucher code has been redeemed.

    I've raised a claim.

I didn't like the look of the wording of the Quidco deal so combined with the fact I'm only 6 months out of contract with them (potential new account issue) I gave it a wide berth. £142 cashback for any cable service was the punchline, but when you think about it, £142 cashback plus they are doing so many month at half price and maybe a credit to your account, that if you say go for phone alone the numbers don't make sense.

Anyway, while I fear the worst for the iriginal poster due to the installation cost issue, I hope everybody does eventually get their cashback. I don't think I've ever had a claim not settled in my favour with Quidco (even if it may have taken 2/3 escalations). A few peopel saying tey did get the full £142 for less than a full service would be nice to see.

I agree that just phone would not make sense, but mine said "or a combination of these".
  • You're all going to want to throw bricks at me, but I also ordered the Virgin Media quidco deal, did it all online, phoned Sky to cancel and was offered a much better deal so cancelled Virgin. I assumed the cashback just wouldn't track but they've just put £140 into my bank account...so all you poor people are going to have to fight to get your money and I'm going to have to figure out how to send back money I wasn't owed! But I guess the fact that they paid me means hope for everyone else?

Consider a (virtual) brick on its way! :)

    Which package did you choose?

I did speak with the Quidco team and they did say the offer includes broadband only.

I tried placing the order 2 times, that may be of been issue, first time didn't track, chose bb with phone, cancelled order a few days after (a new account was probably set up) and placed the order again with bb only this time, this time it tracked.

They just added a 'free install' onto the account, I don't think they cancelled the order. They say it's going to take 6 months for claim process so it is up to you guys if you want to stay and be tied into a contract, I have a few days to make up my mind to cancel or not.
