I was just thinking the same, either that or just paint over it anyway :p I'm too lazy, I've got a whole house of skirting boards to do, some are white some are new so wondering if I could just leave them until I can pursuade someone else to do it

Nooooo! In this day and age wood shouldn't be glossed. Sand it back and put a nice stain on it. Gloss is sooo 70's/80's and in my personal opinion, I think it looks horrible.:(

    Thanks for the compliment flowerclipper.

flowerclipper offered and gave me an absolutely huge amount of support when I had a problem that began four years ago (doesn't time fly!). I really hope that things work out for her. If anyone has been through a similar situation and can offer any help, please do.
    You're a love!

Handle every stressful situation like a dog.
If you can't eat it or play with it ....... just pee on it and walk away.
