The shine on gloss is actually the oil base dried out, giving a protective, water proof coat, if you sand that off the wood becomes absorbent again :D
Awww nuts I hate sanding  Thanks anyway :T

    Men are just Happier People

What do you expect from such simple creatures?

    Your last name stays put.
    The garage is all yours.
Wedding plans take care of themselves.
    Chocolate is just another snack.
    You can never be pregnant.
You can wear a white T-shirt to a water park.
You can wear NO shirt to a water park..
Car mechanics tell you the truth
You don't have to stop and think of which way to turn a nut on a bolt.
    Wrinkles add character
People never stare at your chest when you're talking to them.

A CoW used to visit my office and would spend the whole time (sometimes for several hours!) talking to my chest. My family thought that it was hilarious. My DDs bought me a 'male' calender to put up in the office. I hung it on the wall behind me. On the next visit, he caught sight of the 'revealing' pose and immediately sat down and crossed his legs.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Jokingly, he asked if I'd remove it whilst he was there as he felt that the 'chap' was staring at him, made him feel inadequate and uncomfortable! After that, he always talked to my face.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    BATHROOMS
A man has six items in his bathroom: toothbrush and toothpaste, shaving cream, razor, a bar of soap, and a towel from M&S.
The average number of items in the typical woman's bathroom is 337.

    You haven't seen my DS's collection.:eek::eek::eek::eek:

    ARGUMENTS
A woman has the last word in any argument.
Anything a man says after that is the beginning of a new argument

    No comment.:p

    NATURAL
Men wake up as good-looking as they went to bed.
Women somehow deteriorate during the night.

Would that be before or after going to specsavers?:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    No offence meant to anyone.:o

When I was a trainee mechanic we took a front strut off and I was told to take the shock out. I undid the nut on top of the shock, the spring and holding plate flew off, just missed my head and hit the roof :o

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

In the garage they have a hydraulic spring compressor.

In the shed we had 2 jacks and a length of rope
Back to square one, no apg, no comment.

has anyone a logical answer to this?

3 weeks ago tomorrow i had my toe amputated.

i shave my armpits and legs and bikini line every week, but since surgery there has been no hair growing. why? i am not taking any different medication.

I would see that as your reward for having to have your poor toe off !

Got through to the hospital mum's temperature still down and not shaking this morning and they said she was chatting. Sounds positive but doctors have yet to do their rounds.

Still not managed my first proper coupon shop. :(

Mum has been admitted to hospital, went round luckily before I went to Ts and found her slumped on the toilet, fully clothed.
Could not get her to sit up properly let alone stand up so had to ring for ambulance, she was shaking quite bad and drifting in and out of sleep. Paramedic was brilliant, listened to everything I said about how she normally is and decided hospital was the best option rather than ring for GP once we managed to get her off toilet onto a chair. Her temperature was over 40 degrees.:eek::eek:

I can not fault the NHS this evening at A & E they were all brilliant and I stayed with mum right up until she was taken to a ward about 12.30am and even then was not pushed out the door straight away. Bloods and urine show a major infection :( they just need to make sure what so being treated with correct antibiotic. Think something is working though as last temperature taken was down to 37.4 degrees thank goodness and she remembered there were windows left open at hers (I did go round and shut them before I came home). Just hope she has a comfortable night and news will be positive in the morning.

Celebrate think I have said before you would know when the time was right to decide which path to take, there is only so much anyone can take, having been at the receiving end of some horrible stuff myself in my first marriage, I just knew one day that it was all over and I have never looked back. I hope time will ease how you are feeling. Take care x x

Hope that your mum has had a comfortable night and feels better today.

NOt long home from T's with 4 (free) different kinds of MaM!!!

I'm so happy (sad I know). D*ndee's R*v*rside have lots of varieties!! I got 2 and DS got 2.
I didn't see any mags there, but they have loads of flops. (Sth Rd have loads of mags in a display next to the lifts if you need some).

In P*rth Sth st have no Mams; Edi Rd have the smoked sausage @ £1, dried up bacon and Ham joints. Going to Creef Rd tomorrow, so will report what they have in stock.

I didnt realise you were just up the motorway from me Im in andrew carnegie town. Heading for smokey town on Saturday for a wedding so might pop in to Edi Rd on way past. Terrible away sausage hunting on the way to a wedding. But I dont drive for now so taking advantage of it :D
