Lego 6137 Duplo - £16.99?? to £7.00 now £3.50
Lego 6138 Duplo - First Fire Station £29.99 (real price £20.00) to £9.50 now £4.75

I've got the Vox which is great if you want to go online, also makes it quicker to download books straight onto it rather than via a laptop.....but it isn't as good as the ordinary kobo wireless if you just want it as an ereader. The screen isn't good for reading in direct sunlight and the battery life is a lot shorter.
There is a big difference in the price too. I like my Vox though
I'd better do a little more research!
I just had some of the mam sausage it is delish,
bet they won't last in my fridge.
Off to bed now good night! :T

While out today, 'lunch' consisted of a pack of whoopsied thick cut wiltshire ham and a frijj banoffee pie milk drink. the milk drink had a lot less fat in it than I expected. Didn't look too closely at the calories as my diet isn't really a weight loss diet, its more an animal fat diet to help lower the cholesterol....but I'm hoping that in doing so I will gradually lose a few pounds too purely by being a bit more thoughtful about what I eat.
Right............who's for a stella?0 -

From what I've read, the vox tries to be an ipad and really isnt up tot he job .....although of course it is less than half the price!
If you just want a very good ereader then the kobo touch is brilliant. Everyone I know who has one sings its praises. HTH0 -
strange goings on in my tesco....
They reduce things down on their usual shelves but it's things for the next day? Not reduced down much but still shelves full of yellow stickers?!
I'm yet to see what the reduction counter is like for the day when final reductions are on.
I wonder if this is a way of having less whoopsies at the end of an evening, my local has some terrible greedy people about who are always pushing and shoving and grabbing everything.
This has only happened the last few days, very odd I think!
Been happening in more and more stores. So many people are happy to pay half price for stuff and T's are working this out. Morrisons have been doing this for ages.
Plenty of new faces in my local too last night. Thanks martin........I wonder if he'd be as quick to 'spread the word' if he had to rely on whoopsies himself?0 -
Evening guys
Sorry for the late post but I got it in my head to catch up before posting
............. and that took a long time
Alan has been 'ok' today. At least he is brighter again after the last week of it getting him down at timesIt helped with getting out yesterday
Gill, his stoma nurse, came today about 4.30pm and stayed for about half an hour, chatting and finding out how things were going. She is lovely. Raises your spirits as soon as she speaksAnyway, she asked if Alan thought that a support belt might help and he agreed that it should. The pain is there when he sneezes, coughs or yawns, but not if he holds his sides when doing it, and is not tender otherwise. So she is going to order him a wide support belt but it will take a week or two to come as it will have to have a hole cut into it for his bag. As we are going back up North for a few days next week, and then hopefully down to Portsmouth after that, she is going to check up on him in two weeks time. Alan was much brighter after her visit :j
He went to bed, but just to read, after she left and I took the dogs out for a good walk, and when I got back and was getting my shoes off, etc, our friend Stuart arrived so Alan got back up and we had a cuppa and a chat, which was good for him too
Nothing planned for tomorrow, except to take some rubbish to the tip, but we will see how things are in the morning to see what else we might do
Alan is eating less than he was but is maintaining his weight after regaining the 2 stones he lost after the op. But his appetite is less and he struggles to 'fancy' something to eat which makes it more difficult. He had no bother with the Tosco finest cheesecake tonight though
We had a weepy morning the other day, don't know if I posted about itThe dogs had been getting Alan down with their barking and playing and he lost his temper with them. The next morning I asked what he wanted to do about the dogs and we were both in tears discussing the pros and cons of getting them rehomed when neither of us really wanted that, especially after already rehoming Billy
He loves them as much as me, and knows that I will need them after he has gone, so said we had to work more on keeping them quiet and if they get too much for him, they could go into the kennels for a few days to give him a rest. As I said, they are booked in for 2 weeks anyway from 18th June and would then be back in for our Devon holiday. So we agreed it was best to leave it till after the holidays and see how things were then
Alan was sleeping right through the night and, when he went to bed during the day, he slept well then too. But lately he hasn't slept as well and often just lies resting rather than sleeping. At least now he is reading when resting in bed and, with these extra meds, is sleeping a little better during the nightMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

3Dogs, so glad you posted been awaiting your daily round up. Sorry to hear Alan is finding it hard at the moment. Big hugs to you both. Hope tomorrow is a brighter day for you both x
Everything will be ok in the end, and if it isn't ok then it isn't the end0 -
