Been happening in more and more stores. So many people are happy to pay half price for stuff and T's are working this out. Morrisons have been doing this for ages.

Plenty of new faces in my local too last night. Thanks martin........I wonder if he'd be as quick to 'spread the word' if he had to rely on whoopsies himself?

I couldn't agree more! I understand he wants to help people save money but I think ultimately he is making it worse for people!

We only have one main supermarket in town and people here have been savvy to the woopsies for a good few years now so it is hard to get stuff anyway, but the past 18 months they have only been reducing things by say 20/50% at most and the stuff fly's out as some saving is better than no saving so you can't really wait for it to go down to like 2p-10p-20p etc like you used to also the amount of times i see people throw everything in their trolly only to stand at the side and then sort through it is unbelievable, i can seriously see it getting physical at some point the way people act and i do feel sorry for the staff dealing with it.

But to respond to the quotes above sad thing is people try to help cut costs with sites like this and well quite often it has the opposite effect at least for the poorest family's that use all the tricks here to get by already i think most invented the tricks others use now :D as supermarkets see how people are spending less, like when Hugh did the cheap cuts of meat, lamb shanks etc next thing they where trending in all the major restaurants and now they cost a fortune compared to what they did, and with the fish fight thing the cheaper fish will start to get more expensive, tbh i think that fisheries should just have a quota for x amount of weight and not be allowed to throw any fish back i mean whats the point of protecting cod stocks by throwing dead cod back because that specific ship doesn't have a quota and arnt allowed to catch it, eventually there wont be anything cheap, like switching to value or stores own products Ive done it for years but with so many people doing it soon the likes of Heinz will struggle once all those branded company's die the supermarkets will charge what they like that's the bit worry's me.

    Sorry rant over :)

Morning, off to Tesco, see you later. Going to detour and fit in an extra before work just to see how much the box of Thorntons are in there. I think the person who got them for £1 was very lucky (they are one of my faves) - guess it was store specific.
