for those getting a bit stressed over the bootlegging cigarettes.....yes technically its illegal....like FK said though, many do it as a favour to friends.
If we want to get technical and a bit ranty towards each other, do any of you consider fleecing Ts to be illegal? Because in the eyes of the law, certinly some of our activities ie, actively seeking DTD could be proven to be illegal in terms of obtaining goods by deception
I've missed all the furore but have to say that selling goods for profit that were brought through the "nothing to declare" aisle is most definitely illegal. I would gladly turn in any friend/family member who I knew was doing it and thats the god's honest truth
Actively seeking DTD is just getting Ts to honour their own policy. If they don't want to pay out then they should ensure their prices are up to date and not in breach of Trades DescriptionApparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -

So that every single post that I contribute to this thread is on topic I would just like to say I am an elite 11+ member and I hear the unjust silence of my opinions whilst I am shopping in supermarkets mainly. Just sayin.0 -

Caught up again, with the help of B&J raspberry core which I love hahaSorry to hear you haven't moved in yet hopefully now things will move forward for you after the phone call though!
I also just wanted to say thank you, on behalf of the children/parents. I've mentioned it before but DS has ASD and it is so nice to see someone taking an interest and advocating for children with ASD!
I just love working with these two boys, one has ASD and the other has ADHD, learning difficulties, medical problems and in the process of being tested for ASD, he has some of the signs but they're not sure.
I just love how after a short period of time (1 year) they have come to respond to me, even just the slightest change is fantastic. For their parents to be able to leave them with someone who's not family or teaching staff without them playing up or having a meltdown is great for them and lets us know we're getting it right.
I like how no 2 with ASD are the same, we used to have a little girl we worked with who wouldn't respond to anyone outside of the family. One day our male volunteer who's disabled (only one leg) fell, his crutches had slipped on juice, she got up and handed him the crutch. It was such a small step but such a huge one for her as she had never even looked at any of us before let alone moved off the seat her mum put her in. We just couldn't wait for her mum to pick her up and tell her what had happened.
After that we noticed she would do little things when he asked so he was partnered with her but before long she started secondary school and wasn't getting home until teatime so couldn't attend anymore
I know it can be hard work sometimes but each and every one is unique, they come with their own set of problems but so do most of our kids, theirs just take more understanding, time and patience. The rewards in the change in some of our kids are enough for us, even the tiny onesSPC #329 £471/£500 banked
