Goodnight everybody. I hope you all enjoy the rest the rest of the evening and sleep well. Looking forward to hearing all your shopping bargains tomorrow.
Mortgage debt 45,000. Thank you all for your help so far in helping me save to buy the house. I could not have done this without all your help.

    I HAVE!!!

I rang them this morning to complain as I have 4 more unopened in the freezer that no one will touch and I can't swap them as they are a frozen item which Tesco will not accept back.

I was told that as it was just a personal dislike that they are in now position to assist me:mad:

    Ggrrrr!!!

I would be fuming if I'd actually PAID for them;)

    Make baked alaska with it!!

Just dont ask me for the recipe :D

I managed (by accident*) to get 2 of the pig sets today ...

    * SEL = 49p ... not a strategic purchase ;)

Thanks so much for all the welcome messages, and for answering my question :).

So a whoopsied item is something that has been reduced to clear type thing..?

My local Tescos never have anything good in the reduced section, the meat is always only maybe 30p off what it was full price!

Sounds like you are all getting great bargains in your local though.

I have only just discovered the price flops last month and have saved lots of money with those. The latest ones aren't so great, though.

    Loving this thread. :T

    What time are you going?

Whoopsies start at 25% off early in the day and will then get reduced again up to 75%-80% later in the evening.

This evening no one had a chance to do the cakes all day and at 8pm the lady was doing them with a little help from me! I found one thing dated yesterday and I dated the 7th! Came away with 90% off some eclaires.

You might well find whoopsies are few and far between due to Martin lewis putting it on his weekly email! My locals have been absolutely HAMMERED. it's only as I hang around and had had a nose at the dates of items did I realise they where behind today. The actual reductions corner in the chiller was as empty as an empty thing on an empty day!

The price flops can give great reductions and sometimes even better than whoopsies! For example the pizzas at 3 for 50p!

I must try and get in a little later in the evening and see if I have better luck :).

I stocked up on the pizza offer when it was running. Gutted I missed out on the B&J, pizza and garlic bread offer though, there were no signs for it in my local so I didn't take a chance on it. But I'm learning, so I won't miss the next one. :D

I see Martin has produced his 30-step guide  on how to get cheap grocery shopping.

He should pop on this thread and learn a thing or two.

Seen this and thought it could be a good deal with the Pre-packed cooked meats & pate £1 off wys £3 price flop voucher code...

'Richmond Natural crumbed Ham' - £1.79 in Tescos (on a get two for £3.00 offer at the moment) you would get the two packs for £2.00 with the price flop, and then they are only £1.00 in Asda so you would get some JTD too. :)

    Impossible to Please
A group of girlfriends are on holiday when they see a 5-story hotel with a sign that reads: "For Women Only." Since they are without their boyfriends and husbands, they decide to go in.

The bouncer, a very attractive guy, explains to them how it works. "We have 5 floors. Go up floor by floor, and once you find what you are looking for, you can stay there. It's easy to decide since each floor has a sign telling you what's inside."

So they start going up and on the first floor the sign reads: "All the men on this floor are short and plain." The friends laugh and without hesitation move on to the next floor.

The sign on the second floor reads: "All the men here are short and handsome." Still, this isn't good enough, so the friends continue on up.

They reach the third floor and the sign reads: "All the men here are tall and plain."

They still want to do better, and so, knowing there are still two floors left, they continued on up.

On the fourth floor, the sign is perfect: "All the men here are tall and handsome." The women get all excited and are going in when they realize that there is still one floor left. Wondering what they are missing, they head on up to the fifth floor.

There they find a sign that reads: "There are no men here. This floor was built only to prove that there is no way to please a woman."

You missed off the final part of the story....;)

To avoid gender bias charges, the hotels owner opened a new Men only hotel just across the street.
The first floor has women that like beer.
The second floor has women that like beer and love sex.
The Third, Forth, Fifth and Sixth Floors have yet to be visited :D
