I don't think you can do that.
    You can however
    draw money out of atm.
    go to bank on Monday.
"can I deposit this cash please ?"

It is true that the minimum online reload is £150. However, you can "send" funds of any value electronically using internet banking. I have sent £6.84 without any problem!

I'm struggling to see how to top up my Ryanair cash passport with any amount via electronic transfer as although I have my card number I do not have as far as I can see a sort code for that account/card number. How do you do it?

No thickness there! You can top up the card with any amount if you use FPS or any transfer method from your bank.

Whether Ryanair will eventually disallow such payments, I don't know. They cannot, however, restrict the amounts you can send from your bank, so the only way to stop this practice would be to disallow payments from banks altogether.

Would like to know how to top up as you suggest as I can't find an account number or sort code? Any suggestions?

This is the info for the bank transfer I think:

    http://www.cashpassport.com/1/en/uk/Reloading/

then click the "via bank transfer" part of page.

Can you take out the card and then make the initial 'top-up' by bank transfer, or do you need to do the initial (ie £150) at the time of signup ?

    Thanks

You have to pay £150 at sign up. In fact it's £156 minimum, including the £6 to buy the card.

    Thank you that is great.

I've also heard that the £2.50 monthly inactivity fee (after 6 months) can also take your balance below zero, and therefore give you a further £10 fee for going negative.

Does anyone know if this is true ?

    Thanks

That sounds right. Has anyone had the misfortune to suffer this?

By the way, unless you have a few Ryanair flights to book, you might want to delay getting a Cash Passport card. Ryanair have told the Office Of Fair Trading that they will cease excessive surcharges for debit cards from 1st December 2012. There's no detail yet. The Cash Passport might still prove useful if it offers membership discounts but could become useless.
