Anyone know if you can pay money in/withdraw money out via Barclays online banking? Doesn't seem to say in the t&c's, just mentions that withdrawals are instant and can be done over the phone, in writing or at a branch.

Has anyone with Barclays standard cash ISA used internet banking for this?

    Many thanks!

Hi I have just gone through the application process and it says "payments can be made by phone or in branch and "viewed online".

Anyone have experience of paying to an ISA in Branch or on phone. My local branch (I tried to open current account last year) is pathetic with little knowledge (apparently).

Thanks Raptor - once my ISA is up and running I might just try it online and see.

How does one go about paying in/withdrawing money in branch - do I just transfer from/to my current account and if so, do I see a personal banker or just a cashier?

Is the telephone banking for paying into the ISAs automated, or do you speak to a human?

Having posted my application yesterday - I wonder how long it will be before we hear back with account details etc...

    Many thanks!

Popped into local branch today (wound them up about last nights Barclays whistleblower program, they were not amused)... the lady says that it is just like paying into a regular account. She is not sure whether you have paying book but says that as far as they are aware it is just like any other Barclays account. She also said that as I am only looking for a 2007/08 ISA I should wait to open it with the cheque as if I did it now they would put the cheque through the system which may mean it goes from my account prior to 6th April.
