Leew - are you taking about sky's new unlimited fibre package? That's about £20 a month, and seems like a cheaper and slower BT infinity. We have major problems with sky's wireless on their normal unlimited package, and they use the same routers so anything tempting us has gone, although I'm led to believe we're just unlucky and most people have no issue with sky at all (we certainly didn't for most of a year).
Data protection is there for you, not for companies to hide behind

It's not from what i believe - it's the Unlimited and Talk package which differs from the Connect one ( from what i've read)

It's half price for 12 mths.

You didn't state that you wanted phone as well in your original post, just broadband, which is why I mentioned Connect.Nor that you had already been looking & what you'd found already on Sky's website.

Some people are more difficult to help than others.
On Sky BB unlimited and calls, have had line problems recently but were sorted out by BT Openreach once the nature of the problem was found.
Sky CS is very good these days, its rare that there is a queue on the line, also if you have the calls package the calls to the contact centres are free.

I've use the Cloud wifi a couple of times, although hanging out near Greggs leads to ambient sausage roll cravings.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

No just the bog standard broadband, i would be interested in the fibre package but that's £20 PLUS line rental on top which i find strange.

I mentioned i had no landline in my opening post and you can't seem to get Broadband without it coming with a phone line (line rental has to be added unless i go with Virgin/Cable.

I'm not looking for a phone but you can't get one without the other it seems unless you go for Cable like i say.

I obviously looked at Skys website otherwise i wouldnt have posted details about it!!

Thanks for all the replies. :)

I have just tried to join Sky for their FTTC broadband package, line rental and calls and wish I had never bothered.

A couple of days after placing my order and booking an engineer visit I got an email from O2 my current provider asking me to call them or they would suspend my services. Called them and they wanted to confirm why I am leaving and what date sky are taking over my line so they can cancel my account from their side.

Few days later Sky inform me via SMS my order has been rejected and will not progress and the only reason they can give me is that fiber isn't available in my are which is a bit odd as my neighbour has it with them. O2 now say that the cancellation from their end is beyond the point of no return and my line will cancel down and I am now left to find a new provider and am going to have to pay for a New Line Provide as will no longer have an active line.

Was with Sky 3 or so years ago and was nothing but hassle and thought things had changed but clearly not!
