Halifax Clarity - which ATMs can you use in the USA with no fee?

Hi there
We are off to California next month and we will use Clarity credit card to purchase where possible. However cash still required and I hate paying fees on ATM's (often 3%).
We have found the Allpoint network which doesn't charge fees and is shown on the Mastercard atm network and is very widespread so should't need to use anyone else. Generally appears to be in CVS (pharmacy), Costco, 7-Eleven and similar.
Has anyone had direct experience yet? We'll feedback on our return.0 -
You advised taking some dollars, which I assumed were purchased from a fx in the UK who all charge fees, as opposed to using an ATM and getting the bank rate less a couple of dollars in ATM fee
There's loads of places in the UK that you can get US dollars changed for no fee, we just came back from US after changing two lots of cash before departure with no fees, just try most indipedent travel agents on the high St they will compete with the majors on rate on request as well.0 -

No No No
Whilst there may be nothing openly called a fee, there is always a loading on the exchange rate - sometimes moderate but usually hefty
That loading does not exist using a Clarity card (and a few others) in the US - just whatever the machine owner charges0
