Just been looking on the web and there are so many things to look at.
We were thinking of buying our son a sim free mobile to keep track of him. So we need 250 ish mins maybe less, some texts as this is the main way we will contact each other. Also some data as his phone will be a budget smartphone for music etc
Has anyone seen any deals below £10 anywhere please, many thanks.

Q. Want to know how to turn a £10 charge into a £100 debt?
A. Give an open contract sim to a teenager.
Get him a capped Tesco sim. Not sure who else does one.0 -
T-mobile do You Fix, but @ £15.50+ for pathetic 75 minutes.0

You could look at Orange's £120 PAYG ready deal - you pay upfront for 12 £10 monthly top ups (on Dolphin this gets 400 texts and 100mb of data each month without using up any of the credit, you can choose to buy a 100 minute bundle using £7.50 of the monthly credit), by paying upfront you get £60 off a PAYG phone. You can also get £12 cashback via quidco.
Alternatively, a giffgaff SIM gets unlimited texts and data and 250 mins for a £10 goodybag - but this leaves no credit for anything else (non-inclusive calls) and obviously doesn't include a handset.0 -
I've just swapped to an Orange 'small business' SIM only contract for £9 pcm

Don't forget quidco/topcashback, I have just got a sim only deal with orange 600 minutes, unlimited text, 500mb data for £15.50pm (reduced online from £20.50) with £80 cash back so works out less than £9 pm.I am a mortgage adviser. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Thanks for all your replies, some great advice. I never thought about capping or fixed sims and understand the need for it.
If you have a no contract sim does this mean once the minutes/data has been used you cannot go over and be charged extra?
I'm going to have a look at all the suggestions, thanks for making it easier for me :beer:0
