Hijack this

Hi guys,

You gave me help last week regarding my old laptop and asked me to return when I had my new one. Im now on my new laptop and trying to follow the instructions on the 'how to clean up a slow pc' thread.

I have saved my photos onto a memory stick (took over 2 hours) and did the performance test but my laptop wont let me onto the Hijack this link.
It keeps saying error 404 not found.

My laptop keeps redirecting me to other sites and it is just so slow.

Any help would be greatly appreciated guys

yes, and fix anything found before closing.

Does the hijackthis link work? If so, post it along with the physical memory total and commit charge.

No I still cant get the hijack this download, it says something about windows not being installed properly and to seek personnel help.

Im now on the 3rd link and fixing anything that needs fixed.

found any infections?

I installed all the links and cleaned up everything that needed cleaned.

The hijack this just wont work.

Im now rebooting after installing the last link

When I try and download the hijack this.

Yes there was loads of infections, i deleted them.

Which operating system are you using - the machine has plenty of ram, so must be newish?

does the error mention the windows installer.

I will do this as soon as the laptop stops scanning the Avast software.

Did the HiJackThis error say something about a hosts file?
