Ok just worked out my SOA and that's where its at I haven't put in the vanquis as that will be paid on Tuesday once my tax rebate cheque has been cleared I am going to snow ball everything in a minute but if anyone can see where I can make savings that would be good. I can't get rid of my car as there is no possible way of getting to work without it and no chance of car sharing.

Today will be a total NSD and I have started walking everywhere apart from work (I think 7 miles is a bit far) lol I have lost 3 pound in weight this week so the exercise is doing me good, good for health and wealth.

Just claimed £5 amazon voucher from swagbucks and only need to do another couple of reviews on dooyoo to get my £20 voucher so I will have £25 for Christmas which is a start.

Really tired today for some reason but planning on clearing the washing pile I am sure it breeds  and bake some cakes for work and dd's lunch bags. Realising how little money I need as I don't actually have any to spend so going to start respecting money instead of just squandering it when I start getting paid every month.

Right off to do my jobs and have a good day.

Hi kitchen welcome I mainly get recipes from here today I have made Weetabix cake:

    2 cups/300g self raising flour
    1 cup/225g sugar
1 cup/200g raisins (or any other dried fruit)
    2 Weetabix (crushed)
    1/2 - 1 tsp mixed spice
    1 1/4 cup/275ml milk
    1 medium egg (beaten)

Measure out all the dried ingredients into a large bowl.
Pour in the milk and egg and mix well (the mixture will look like a lumpy batter).
Pour the mixture into a greased and lined loaf tin.
Bake at 130 C/gas 3 for around 1 hr 15 mins, until it is firm to touch, golden brown and a skewer or knife comes out clean.
Once cooked, turn out of the tin onto a wire rack and remove the greaseproof paper.

    Cut into slices when cool.

It is cheap and easy to make and is really moist and lasts me and dd the week for work and school. I got it from netmums which is my other favourite site for cheap baking.

I have also made easy biscuits don't know where I got the recipe from as its saved on my laptop:

    250g butter
    140g caster sugar
    1 egg yolk
    2 tsp vanilla extract
    300g plain flour

Makes loads of biscuit - about 30.

Mix the butter and sugar in a large bowl with a wooden spoon, then add the egg yolk and vanilla and briefly beat to combine. Sift over the flour and stir until the mixture is well combined - you will probably have to use your hands at the end to combine into a dough.

Roll it out and cut out your shapes, place on a greased baking tray and into a preheated oven at 180C (or 160C if you have a fan oven) for about 12 minutes until slightly golden.

These are great for letting children play with and make shapes to bake as long as they wash their hands first dd has a great time making different shapes to be baked as I cut them into equal sizes first.
