This time I have a reason

I am starting again taken my eye off the ball and back again with bigger debts but this time I have a reason to clear all this. I have met a lovely man who has no debt at all and is really good with money he is a MSE without even hearing of here. He is very similar to me he like growing veg and fruit and finds a use for all his food and never throws anything out as I found out when I was dusting and realised it was a pair of his old pants (washed of course) :rotfl: so I think I could learn a lot off him and he is great.
Right on to the horrible part my debts he asked me if I had any so I told him and he did look shocked to be fair and said there is no way he will live with someone with debts so that's stopped me in my tracks a little as I snowballed them and its going to take me a year to be debt free but I am determined to get this down.

Ok that's the lot warts and all. I am due to start a new job next week so the first monthly payment will just pay off vanquis and £100 towards the rent which is the arrangement so at least i won't be charged any more interest by vanquis as that's the highest interest.
Well off to work out what food I have so I don't have to food shop for a while start work at 2pm today so going to do a few dooyoo reviews and see what I can get from thats.

Been busy today made twinks hob nobs and they are yum and some banana and strawberry muffins. They should keep us going this week and all stuff that were in the cupboard. I think I might start making this a weekly thing a lot cheaper and more filling than buying the usual rubbish I buy. I enjoyed getting into the kitchen with dd and making things with her.water £82.00 Totally Paid June 2012, vanquis £290.00 Totally Paid July 2012, e.on £300.00 £189.00 Paid Sep 2012, Scott and co. £989 £918 Paid Oct 2012, s/p £400.00 £295 Dec 2012, o/d £2,000.00 Dec 2012, rent £1,600.00 Jan 2013, mum £1,500.00 £1,400.00 Feb 2013

Spent a bit today well £13.11 on bits I really did need like toilet roll and milk . Found a bargain in Tesco and passed it on via the grabbit board really cheap pizzas so bought a couple of those so I have something in for lazy nights me and dd love pizza, garlic bread and salad and at 40p for the pizza a lot cheaper than a takeaway and will just take as long.water £82.00 Totally Paid June 2012, vanquis £290.00 Totally Paid July 2012, e.on £300.00 £189.00 Paid Sep 2012, Scott and co. £989 £918 Paid Oct 2012, s/p £400.00 £295 Dec 2012, o/d £2,000.00 Dec 2012, rent £1,600.00 Jan 2013, mum £1,500.00 £1,400.00 Feb 2013

TY and hi badger
Well I have been out in the garden the strawberries and herbs I planted last week are doing really well with the help of the BFTNE (other halves nickname in initial form) don't think anyone will guess what it means
. Had a good day all in all won't need to spend anything until at least a week on Friday so that's all good. Played on the wii with dd for a bit kept us amused. Had the last of my rubber chicken in a leek and chicken pie as the leeks were looking a bit sorry for themselves but tasted good in the pie and a muffin for pudding most of it I would have thrown away normally but decided to salvage it and it made a lovely dinner.
I have been thinking a lot about ways to save money and I have a couple of dresses I don't wear any more and going to ask my mum to show me how to make them into a couple of skirts for work and work out something to do with the left over material as she's amazing at sewing and making things.
That's it for today nothing else to report just looking forward to starting the debt busting.water £82.00 Totally Paid June 2012, vanquis £290.00 Totally Paid July 2012, e.on £300.00 £189.00 Paid Sep 2012, Scott and co. £989 £918 Paid Oct 2012, s/p £400.00 £295 Dec 2012, o/d £2,000.00 Dec 2012, rent £1,600.00 Jan 2013, mum £1,500.00 £1,400.00 Feb 2013

I'd love a garden so I could have my own little veg patch I think the fur-babies would benefit from it more than me though:rotfl:
Good idea getting your Mum to show you, a new skill and some new cloths at the same time :j
Are you doing any of the Challenges ? I'm going to do the extra payment every week one I think

Hi all ty for reading my ramblings
My mum has decided we can make two high waisted skirts because I love them and a patchwork bag to match the skirts out of the spare material. i have got to go round soon. I got my mum 6 pizzas which she's going to pay me for as they eat it once a week nice to swap things skills for bargains I think is a fair deal lol.
I have sorted dd's old clothes that don't fit and mum is going to make a few patch work dresses and shorts for the summer for her which mean she will get a new summer wardrobe for nothing. I have budgeted £50 for her summer clothes so that can go towards debt now.
Really missing the BFTNE loads at the moment won't see him for a couple of weeks with the job situation feels lonely without him.
Sounds silly but quite proud of myself finding the pizza deal first time I have used my brain to save money lol they are going to come in handy because I have been invited to a party saturday night and we have to bring food or drink so I am going to take 4 of the of the pizzas with me think that should be enough and as I don't drink no point me buying alcohol because its expensive and pointless for me.
So far I am trying hard and if I can keep this up I should be OK. :jwater £82.00 Totally Paid June 2012, vanquis £290.00 Totally Paid July 2012, e.on £300.00 £189.00 Paid Sep 2012, Scott and co. £989 £918 Paid Oct 2012, s/p £400.00 £295 Dec 2012, o/d £2,000.00 Dec 2012, rent £1,600.00 Jan 2013, mum £1,500.00 £1,400.00 Feb 2013

Not joined any challenges yet badger going to look at that once I start sorting myself out I like the idea of a payment a day challenge and I think I might join that one once I get paid.
Me and the BFTNE love our garden he says I am the ideas person and he's the brute force to get it done we have a great time growing things the only problem is he's a fussy eater but hoping to change that a bit once its home grown. You should get a few pots with herbs in even in the window sill you can grow radishes and salad and its so much nicer than the supermarket stuff.water £82.00 Totally Paid June 2012, vanquis £290.00 Totally Paid July 2012, e.on £300.00 £189.00 Paid Sep 2012, Scott and co. £989 £918 Paid Oct 2012, s/p £400.00 £295 Dec 2012, o/d £2,000.00 Dec 2012, rent £1,600.00 Jan 2013, mum £1,500.00 £1,400.00 Feb 2013

The BFTNE just rang the DIY shop near him is closing down and they are selling everything off so he has bought me 3 huge tins of gloss for £2 each, 3 tins of light yellow paint for my hall for £3 each all dulux, purple paint for my room for £3 each and a load of brushes and rollers and dust covers etc he said I owe him £30 or I can make him dinner and pudding and wait on him hand and foot with unlimited coffees and he will help me with the painting wonder which deal I will take :rotfl: :undecided lol. He laughed at me and said sort of blows your pizza deal out of the water babe cheeky beggar
got to love him though. Well looks like that's my house all going to be finally finished off for the price of dinner and me being a slave for the day but I can handle that lol. water £82.00 Totally Paid June 2012, vanquis £290.00 Totally Paid July 2012, e.on £300.00 £189.00 Paid Sep 2012, Scott and co. £989 £918 Paid Oct 2012, s/p £400.00 £295 Dec 2012, o/d £2,000.00 Dec 2012, rent £1,600.00 Jan 2013, mum £1,500.00 £1,400.00 Feb 2013
