TY both hope the weather stays nice for you badger :D

Been food shopping and just came under budget £37.71 out of my £40 but I did buy loads of baking stuff that will last a while and I have to say I am guilty of buying dd a gold chocolate medal for sports day as however she does she's a winner in my eyes always :o

Making another batch of jam as my friend she will cut my hair for nothing if I make her some because she's addicted :rotfl: it will only cost me 30p to make it as the fruit was free from when we went picking last year not a bad deal for a hair cut :D

I like the swapping things for things idea I wish more people would do it as then you get something for nothing really skills for skills is a great way forward.

Well off to see dd run and hope she does well :T

Good luck with the giving up smoking. I gave up in April - it was kinda forced on me when I had to go into hospital and wasn't able to leave my room for several days in case I was contagious (they didn't know what I had!).

Anyway my reason for posting is to say "carrots":D. They were, and still are at times, my saving grace. I crunched my way through bags of them in the first couple of weeks after I came out of hospital. Still like to nibble one now and again but not often.

I am eating celery at the moment :D might try carrots when I'm bored of them :)

She had a great time belle didn't win any of her races but she had a great day :D and I'm so proud of her to be honest she's more academic than athletic she used to do running a lot but hasn't done it for a while but she smiled the whole time :) she loved her medal and put it round her neck lol.

Love the medal idea sounds great.

I know what you mean about swapping skills, I have a similar deal for my hair, and do a bit of swapping Jam for other people's excess fruit, would love to do it more.

I am thinking of setting up a local site on facebook to see if there are other's that are interested in the swap skills idea I think it would save a fortune. I have been thinking what skills I could swap and come up with the following:

    Knitting
    Crochet
    Cross Stitch
    Gardening
    Cleaning
    Baking
    Jam
    Rug making
Baby sitting (although would be for people I knew not random people)

Can't think of any others but I'm sure there others.

Things I would like in return:

    Sewing lessons
Someone to do a service once a year on my car
A handy man to do some decking out the back for me
    A tiler

Well I can dream of getting these things done lol
