Taplady and gintotmelinda - I'm in good company then having been married so long! :rotfl:

Thanks very much to the kind wishes from everyone for our anniversary - I spent more than planned on dinner (bought good pizza, potato salad, Parma ham, reduced pud, total cost £8.10 with son's staff discount, already had wine in fridge) but much less than going out, no babysitter needed! :j

DH now trying to get daughter to sleep - reckon's her bed's rubbish and wanted to come down, so he's taken her into our bed (she's 2.5!). Bet he falls asleep before she does! :rotfl:

Have been ignoring texts/calls from oldest two (problem!) children so I can enjoy my evening - little bit childish but I'm not getting stressed now! I know they're both on the scrounge and I don't want to deal with them just now - it's our special day after all!

Enjoy your evening, even if it's as rainy as ours.

Evening all, got up very early this morning and when straight to my sisters house to help with their move, it poured down all day!!!. Managed to finish packing the van and they eventually moved out at 3.45pm. Unfortunately they can't move to new house until tomorrow so are spending the night on someone's floor!!!!! it has been so stressful and they both look shattered. Hopefully after tomorrow life will be better for both of them.
Happy anniversary CS, I've been married for 38 years in August :eek:got married at 21.
Welcome JayneB hope your son is OK , it must be a real worry.

Hope is like the sun, which, as we journey toward it, casts the shadow of our burden behind us.

Happy anniversary Cheapskate....will be 42 years for us next month, wasn't a child bride at 25 though.

Will it ever stop raining again....I am sick of it.

Dinner to-day was 3 chicken breasts stir-fried with lots of veg...will turn left over into soup for myself for to-morrow I think, OH not big on soup so he can have something else.

Been swimming to-night, starving as usual when I got home so had a sandwich and cup of tea...no wonder I don't lose weight eating so late at night.

    dlb...nice to see you back.

Jayne...welcome and good wishes for your son's continued good health.

    Jools...hugs.

Rosy...good to hear that DS is home safely.

    Night all, sleep well
