Official reselling site http://www.tickets.london2012.com/
Although that's not looking ideal right now: http://www.tickets.london2012.com/about_resale.html0 -
Thanks for your kindness. It seems that I can't sell the tickets now.0

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com.10 Dec 2007 - Led Zeppelin - I was there. :j :cool2: I wear my 50 (gold/red/white) blood donations pin badge with pride. That link says:
Ticket resale
We are currently not accepting any tickets for the ticket resale programme.
If you are no longer able to use the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games tickets you have purchased from London 2012, you can submit them for resale through the official London 2012 ticket resale programme from spring 2012.
Tickets are strictly non-transferable and must not be sold or advertised for sale on the internet, in newspapers or anywhere else other than via the official London 2012 ticket resale programme.
This is crazy - the tickets have been allocated more or less at random, so many people have tickets they don't really want. There should be a system so we can buy/sell or swap the tickets we have.0 -
Almost as infuriating as not getting tickets for events you wanted to see because so many people applied for any old tickets and then when they found out they had tickets for a single event that didn't really interest them griped.
South Korea vs Gabon ...... I can see people queuing up for those when the reselling period opens again! With LOCOG desperate for every penny I'd be amazed if they didn't try and sell the unsold tickets before worrying about the resellers market.0 -

All the people that I know that applied for just the tickets they really wanted have ended up with nothing so I don't think it is fair to blame people for applying for many events. The problem is with the system rather than the people daring to apply.
I applied for various things and in the original ballot I got four 100m final tickets the only snag is they are top price ones at £725 each!! I was hoping for four cheaper ones at £50. At a stretch I can use two of them but at that price I don't know enough people willing to come. I phoned LOCOG and they said if I want to sell them back I have to sell all four back - I can't keep two and sell two - the system sucks!!0 -

Now that it unlucky, but I've the perfect solution. Swap 2 of your 2 £725 tickets for my 2 £50 tickets for the 100m final and then at least you can get £100 back!
Then again when you applied for the tickets you had to specify the price band you wanted. Why did you apply for the expensive ones if you only wanted band E tickets?0 -
At £50 I wanted 4 tickets (or more - all my friends have said they would come if they were the £50 ones!) but at £725 not so many. There was no way to request different numbers of tickets depending on the price.
Don't get me wrong - I appreciate it is almost impossible to get 2 million tickets directly in to the right hands. But now we have got this far (most tickets sold - too late for touts to buy with intent to profit) I think they should allow people to buy/sell/swap so that people have a better chance of seeing what they want.
We have family coming over from Spain and France specifically to watch basketball and between us we have been fortunate enough to get 6 basketball tickets on the same day. However there are 9 of us in total (including a 5 year old and 3 year old). Just recently it dawned on us that the children needs Olympic Park day pass tickets to enjoy the day with the family. So in desperation on the most recent ticket sales we have had to buy 2 adult swimming final tickets just to get people into the park. It feels wrong that we are depriving people who probably genuinely want to see the gold medals in the swimming awarded just so we can get some children into the park to walk around for a few hours with the family. We would have gladly paid over the odds for some day passes but instead have had to pay £100 for swimming that someone else probably genuinely wants to see. (we are still short one entrance ticket for a 3 year old!)
I think we have been very fortunate to get the tickets we have but they should make the system a bit more flexible now we have got to this stage.0 -
Yeah it is tricky. The terms state you can only sell to friends and family. I don't want to break the law even if the law is an !!!. If you send me your facebook by Private Message at least we can become friends on there. I will still try to see if any of my other friends change their mind first though.0

Could you not just meet up prior to the event and go in together, I thought the only checks made was that the cc holder had to be present.0
