Tiscali/Lineone has played up recently, but seems to be ok this morning,
'til they get into work lolLincolnshireYokel wrote: »The differences are critical. Sorry, but that just isn't right,
ISP mail does allow webmail and pop3 which means you can use it on any machine, anywhere,
but i agree that Gmail, Yahoo and the like are good alternatives..

Web based email will only be as secure as you make it, particularly when it comes to your choice of password. As in today's news with LinkedIn data being compromised, including passwords. Many people use one email address and password to access multiple sites. If hackers get that, they can trawl popular sites to see which ones they can login to. When hotmail data got out a couple of years ago, I received what was obviously spam from my DD's hotmail address, as did most of her contacts.
Security conscious people take appropriate measures to keep information as secure as they can, but the majority of internet users keep thing simple and therefore less secure.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards.
