Morning HH and all,
I'm shattered. Having my husband around me for 4 whole days has tired me out! Thank goodness he's gone back to work.
Actually i'm that whacked ive just made myself some hot lemon complete with the pips.... I'll have to dodge them as i get to the bottom.:D
A good weekend Ebay wise. I'm overdue my dental check up so whilst i am down the Post Office i will pop in the dentist and make an appointment. I just hope i dont need any treatment as i might have to ask MrJudi for some money. I like to pay what i can myself and he pays the bills as i dont like to hear that sharp intake of breath and see the stern look on his face as he pleads poverty. :rotfl:
Beds are stripped, washing machine is on and i am hoping to get it dried outside.
I need to vacuum throughout the house as i didnt do it Monday and i dont like dog hairs.
Chinny needs cleaning out too (though i'll get son to do that before he goes out for the day).
Not thought about tea yet, i'd best get a move on as ive nothing defrosted.
Hugs all round (have two if you need a spare). This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Good morning all
Happy birthday to HHs DGS. hope he likes the book.
DS gone to work, washing machine on but outside looks a bit dodgy today. i am a bit less tired as I slept better last night so feel better about decorating the bedroom so OH will be ringing the plasterer tonight and the guy who makes lovely cupboards. We will be sleeping in the sitting room I think when the bedroom walls and ceiling are skimmed.
We were really busy yesterday sorting out the wardrobes and chest of drawers. Result-1 bag for charity shop and one for recycling. Also clothes that we forgot we had made an appearance!!
Had to put the central heating on last night-in June!
Anyway off to foodbank fundraiser in a minute with a hm lemon drizzle cake. Tea will be roast chicken woth leftovers for chicken curry tomorrow.
Hugs all round and have a good day today.

Good Morning Everyone.
We have 10 day long Flower and Music Festival going at church, so I'm down for welcoming for 4 hours today. Yesterday I popped down for the lunchtime concert and it was incredibly busy! Expect it will be a bit quieter for rest of week, although we're def on the tourist trail so who knows?
Whatever, there won't be much HW going on just here! Was up early and have done loads of ironing and a further load of washing. Afraid the sheets are in the tumbler as yesterday's washing is still hanging on the airers in the conservatory. Sun is out but don't expect it will last.
Need to sort out the fridges as they appear to be full, but I suspect it's an illusion! Why don't people remember to cover things when they open packets??? No-one wants to eat dried out ham or cheese!
Think it's time I did a proper financial check soon - have not been meal planning properly and so I know there's scope for cutting back. Hopefully I'll get to it shortly.
Sending ((HUGS)) to all who need one right now. Have a good day!Resolution:

Morning all, sun is trying to come out, morning walk with Jack was fine until just before we got home and it poured, we both ended up soaked. Must hoover today as dog hair everywhere. Have to go to my sister's house today to collect another chair that she's letting DD have. We managed to get the old cast iron bath out yesterday and the 'metal men' took it this morning. Hugs to all in need and hope everyone has a good day.:)
PS Gintot we're just over the bridge from you and we put the heating on too last night!!!!!!!£180.00 in 'sistercas'fund
Hope is like the sun, which, as we journey toward it, casts the shadow of our burden behind us.

Hi Guys!
Didn't get much sleep as I've had a bad headache for the past 10 hrs...weird! Nurses were here at 8, so a little lay in for me:D Waiting on the hospital to contact me to have this line put in still.
OH got up at 4 to get on with his work as he wanted to be finished early to get on with the garden as the weather is supposed to be ok today and rain for the next 2 days. He's going to be knackered but doesn't have much choice.
The WM and DW have both been on and the house is clean and tidy with toilets cleaned. Ive got to update accounts, pay rent, water and council tax, sort some Ebay stuff and make 3 calls
We have niece (11) coming to stay later which should be fun. I love spending time with her as she reminds me so much of our DD....they're like clones! They have plans to go into London again to see the museums, puppies at Harrods and all the general sites, so I think Friday will be very quiet here. Will do a packed lunch for them to save some pennies and think DD's BF is meeting them there for the day so niece will be impressed as she's a little infatuated with him. DD is taking her to Baker St as niece is in love with Benedict Cumberbatch (aren't we all;)) and will get some pictures. DD will be also snapping shots for her course. Can you believe she has a few weeks left only and she's 18 later this year:eek::eek::eek::eek:
B-Cottage cheese on cracker bread with grated apple and OJ
L-Ham & cheese/salad with mayo sandwich
D-Meatballs and spagetti with salad
Anyway, hope everyone has a good day.

Hi all,
Hope you all enjoyed the long weekend.Unfortunately for DS,it was the worst time he could have picked to lose/have pinched his passport while abroad as he couldnt get to the other side of Tenerife to get his docs to travel as either/or the consulate was shut/couldnt transfer money(BH) till today. He is on his way on the bus now, will take a while but taxi there and back was 200 euros ,told him to text me once his flights booked. Also need to check today whether we can claim for DS1s iphone on our house insurance.
DH is out checking a job-hopefully they can make a start next week.He has a few jobs to price up too, hopefully he'll get one of them.
The house is tidy, just got the wm on.I need to get sthg out for tea, freezers are chokka, got quite a few ys bargains over the weekend:j
I am on neighbours dog/cat duty :jfor the next few days as her disabled DS is having an op and she wants to spend as much time as poss with him.Another friend is helping too,so she did us a rota :DIts a bit tying esp as DH is off,but it can't be helped, its more important that she doesn't have anything extra to worry about.
Made a dress from some cheap cotton,a free pattern with a mag,but its turned out I vaguely resemble a potato sack tied in the middle when its on :rotfl:so need to do something with that,if all else fails will turn it into a nightie
Nmlc-enjoy London.
tru- we would never think you were a tantrum throwing spoilt cow :rotfl:you just put your foot down now and again.Might try your compost soup myself.Doing the same with nettles is meant to be good too.
BBird-its v.exciting unpacking an AF order-sometimes things arent quite what you expected, mmm might check it out myself, not done one for a while-still eating the couscous though:D

nmlc have fun in London
Morning all, was up at stupid o'clock as I've had to go from new flat to uni house today to get everything packed and cleaned before OH gets here at 6ish. Most things are packed now so I'm doing a quick approved food order, I'm trying to be sensible as it's easy to get sucked into all the cheap junk food!
Would anyone here like two free seated tickets to see Blink 182, All American Rejects and Twin Atlantic in London june 9th or know someone who would?
If so, PM me! I'm struggling to give them away to people I know, (they're barely fetching £10 on ebay) and don't even remember buying them as I've never been a fan  Kids can go with an adult.Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -

Adelight I love Blink182but sadly can't inflict two kids AND the dog on my parents, they can't cope with DS when he's around both puppies as he gets even more hyper
