Texaco's deal looks OK, but why is there an asterisk by the bit about BTs?

Hmm......Just got half-way through completing the application form, when it turns out that it is apparently part of TSB. As the card I want to transfer is Lloyds TSB, seems pointless :'(
  • Had a note from Aliiance & Leicester this morning saying from 1/11/04 minimum charge for sbalance transfers and credit card cheques 2% upto max £50. Was £35 max

  • Hello all - just a warning that Egg Card have as of yesterday raised their interest rate from 13.9% to 14.9% - they notified me by email - the phrasing seemed to imply this was for all current cardholders. No skin off my nose as I only use it for their annual 0% offer, but thought I'd send up a flag for anyone considering applying.

The only reason to keep this non-exactly-competitive card is for their useful '5 months at 0% for balance transfers' annual offer for existing cardholders. Otherwise, you can do a whole lot better elsewhere.

    Cheers
