Well if all the mums were completely honest I think they would all know the following, at least I have learnt a lot:

Mr Bloom - bit of eye candy, and could name at least 3 of the vegetables

In the Night Garden - Able to hum the tune, and knows the names of the train and floaty plane thing and balloons.

Mike the Knight - Time to do it ...?

Baby Jake has how many brothers and sisters? Also where do they live.

Name at least 3 characters on something special, Mr Tumble and...?

Grandpa in my pocket can travel on a toys plane and .... and ....?

Do you get excited when someone like David Tenant reads the bedtime story but can't share this news with anyone.

My 21 month old certainly gets plenty of fresh air, I read him lots of books, he doesn't have telly on all day and only watches his favourite programmes, normally dances to the theme tunes.

But if you watch the cbeebies birthdays, then a LOT of under 2's watch tv, reminds me I need to make his card soon to appear on telly.

PS My son also thinks Talking Carl on my hubby's iphone is the funniest thing ever.

If TV gives me time to peel a spud, do the watching up or go to the loo on my own, settle him before bedtime then hurrahhhhhhh.

PS parenting is hard enough without other parents judging each other.

For those that asked for it, I have now retrieved my notes from school on the seminar I attended. I can post a few bits here or just PM it to those interested...you choose :)

I genuinely don't know anything about ITNG, baby jake, mike the knight, something special, we don't watch the bedtime stories, and rarely see the birthday cards.

We watch alphablocks, numtums, number jacks, mr bloom (fwoar) and I can cook. Oh, and today an episode of cloud babies.

Faith is the denial of observation, so that belief can be preserved.

Should I be worried that I know most of that and I don't even have kids? :o

ooh I think I need to check this Mr Bloom fella out...for research purposes only you understand....

I usually pop Baby TV on for DS about 20 mins before his dinner as by this time we've normally been out most of the day, and he is getting a bit whingy through tiredness/hunger.

He is at nursery 2 days a week and they don't have the tv on at all there, and a childminder one day and she doesn't have the telly on either, so it's only really a couple of 20 min slots of tv he has a week really.

Although OH has a tendency to stick the tv on at every opportunity at the weekend..we have many battles over this!

I'm sure lots of uni students would know most of it as well.

Have to say - I know none of it. While I prefer the idea of Cbeebies to things like Nickleodeon - I still can't watch more than about 10 minutes of kids telly without wanting to murder whichever overly hairgelled spikey 20something is grinning inanely on the show in question... preferably murder with something slow and painful - like a stapler.
