Cheers.... One thought though, is that your address on the email subscription page? Is there anyway you can avoid putting that online? Just a thought
  • It's a business address and a legal requirement for email subscriptions :)

I'm not a Starbucks fan but couldn't resist the offer so bought a loyalty card today. I noticed in the Ts & Cs that you can redeem the value on your card (£5+) for cash by calling them so could make a profit if you have a few AMEX cards and just top-up the same Starbucks card then get your money back.
And probably a silly question but does anyone know if House Of Fraser / Harrods sell gift cards for other shops? Thanks.

    Interesting regarding Starbucks.

Harrods don't sell gift cards for any other retailers. I went there yesterday to buy their own gift cards and I checked the WH Smith and Technology departments which I thought would be the most likely to sell iTunes/Amazon etc vouchers but they didn't.

I don't think House of Fraser do either but I'm not 100% and it may vary more store-to-store (size of A/V department etc).

Re Starbucks - interesting, didn't think they allowed that. You can also apparently spend them abroad, with pretty much spot exchange rate and no fees.

Thanks for the replies about gift cards. Do they sell laptops or iPads? If not, then looks like there's no excuse to go to London.

Here's the info about redemptions from the Starbucks website (there's a 020 7 number on saynoto0870.com):
    >Redemption.
Amounts loaded on your Starbucks Card in the EU, may be redeemed by calling 0845 270 3310 and no fee is payable. You may be asked to provide proper documentation of your identity, such as your address, a driver’s licence, passport, etc, and your bank account details. Upon verification of your identity and receipt of your bank details, a refund will be made within 7 business days directly into your bank account. Amounts loaded on your Starbucks Card outside of the EU are subject to the redemption and cash back regulations of the country where the funds were loaded.
  • Yes, Harrods do sell some technology items including iPads, laptops, cameras, speakers, lenses etc. There's quite a nice £35,000 Hasselblad... :p

  • A couple of points:

Carphone Warehouse sell iTunes vouchers if there's nothing in there you fancy. But bear in mind not all of them do - the big ones on Oxford Street in London definitely do.

Also, I am still unclear if you can buy gift cards at GAP/Banana Republic and use them at the other one (they are the same company after all). Customer Services seem to think yes, but the stores themselves are unsure...!

    New Foursquare offers!
    • Harrods- spend £50 get £25 off
    • House of Fraser- spend £50 get £25 off
    • Gap- spend £50 get £25 off
    • Carphone Warehouse- spend £25 get £10 off
    • Banana Republic- spend £50 get £25 off
All deals are valid from the 1st of February to 28th 2013.

Interestingly at the bottom of the email it says "Debenhams and Fenwicks" coming soon.....
Great news! So if I've already done the Gap £10 off £10 spend at christmas, do I still qualify for this new offer? Likewise the House of Fraser one. ie, does it matter if you've already taken advantage of their previous offers in 2012? I'm guessing these are separate, so valid all over again. Yes?
