I think with the good offers, always take a screenshot of the Special/Load to Card screen.

So far my claims with Amex have been sucessful. - shops that didnt take amex, and ones that were on the Shop Small offer but didnt receive a £5 credit back.

I always emailed them through this email address:
    registeredcardsupport@aexp.com
  • Yep - agree, I take screenshots too (although so far not had an issue)

Just looking at taking a screenshot on my Android phone. Doesn't seem that easy. People recommend pressing Power down and Sound Down at the same time but that doesn't work for me. And the apps that you can get all require your phone to be rooted.
  • Which phone have you got? On Samsung phones it's power + home button

It's a San Francisco II. I spent hours trying to "root" it earlier this year but I'm not sure that it worked. Power + home doesn't work.

just speculating here but I would think that if there were 'server problems' you wouldn't have received the 'Loaded to Card!' message on your phone and therefore shouldn't have proceeded.

No as kept trying and eventually did show loaded to card sign so thought server probs fixed then went and got but apparently it still didnt track :s

Ah OK - yes sadly it's only in more recent version of stock android and for earlier ones you end up being reliant on either having rooted or the manufacturer supporting it in their software.

Once you you click load to card how long do you have to actually make the purchase? So if you went into Argos clicked load to card but then changed your mind, left Argos and came back like a week later and made a purchase would u still get the cashback?

Is anyone still waiting for their credit for the spend £50 get £25 for the VIP shopping weekend? I spent £56 at HMV but still nothing showing on statement. I called Amex but they said it could take up to two billing cycles for this to show up.

Not sure about the answer to your first question - have tried it up to a day or so before only. I would think it would be ok up to the expiry of the offer, but not sure at all.

To the second part - my John Lewis credit appeared 2 days after the transaction. Maybe it depends on the retailer?
