I have never seen reduced items in Aldi.
Debt - CCV £3792
CCB £1383 (took a hit for a holiday)

Loan 1 £1787
Loan 2 £1683
Total £8601 Was £39302
• I have never seen reduced items in Aldi.

Mmm .... I suspected as much because Aldi wasn't on the reduction time slot matrix in another thread I looked at which asked supermarket staff or ex staff about reduction policy.

In that case I may go 5 mins walk down the road to MrM and get the reductions, then I don't have to spend as much as £35 or incur £2.90 on the train (does mean I have spent 45p on the Mirror though when I wouldn't otherwise have done - going to ask round work to see if anyone shops at Aldi - no point in wasting it!).

Best wishes to all,

I'm reporting a stupidly high spend of £98.97 in Sainsbobs, this included packed lunches for the month, and enough cereal to sink a battleship.

Also a spend of £42.43 on household things, bin bags washing up liquid etc, but also includes a £24.00 spend on 2 bottle of nit stuff for the kids, i do wish some parents would check their kids hair and stop giving them to mine, grrrrr.

Katy - the very best advice I was ever given, by a school nurse, was to brush our daughters' hair thoroughly every morning and night. The reasoning is that if you break the little blighters' legs, they can't cling on to the hair shaft to lay their eggs and eventually die off naturally. I never used another bottle of pest killer again, and the girls never had any more trouble. They did complain about having their hair brushed as much though ;)

2 cardigans = 10 coupons
Sandals = 5 coupons ... total 38/66
Nightie = 6 coupons

Another cheap and chemical free way to eliminate them quickly, I have found, is to dowse hair with vinegar (cheap malt vinegar works just as well as the fancy vinegars! ;)), massage into scalp and comb through with a nit comb.

Allow the hair to dry naturally (the vinegar smell disappears when dry, honest!)

Wash out in morning and comb out the dead blighters with a nit comb. Repeat every few days for a week as eggs might still hatch.

The vinegar destroys their exoskeleton and eliminates them.

It is by far, the nicer way to nit free hair.

I swear by it. It has always worked with my brood! :beer:

Edit:
It also has the added benefit of leaving you with silky, shiny hair, restores the PH balance of your scalp and eliminates dandruff:money:

Ps,

Hope you are all ok, Katiereed5!!!!!!!

Read your post about the cost of head lice stuff. Not sure if this would be covered in your area, but I was told about something called ph@armcy F!rst which is where you register at a participating chemist and anyone in the household can be put onto your book. Then out of all the ailments listed you get all the treatments/lotions and potions for free without having to visit the Dr's. I joined up last week for my children and added me on as I'm still covered by my maternity thing. Have a look at the link and then had a dig round your area on the web to see if you have something similar.

I have a virus in my poorly eye. Didn't think you could get a virus in your eye. Luckily I have just signed up for an annual pre paid prescription card so didn't have to fork out another £7.65 for some eye drops.

I did decide to use my nectar points towards some basics loo roll and nappies and a bag of crisps for me when I was in sains filling my prescription so another £1.80 to add to the total.

At least I am saving some money on hot drinks and diesel to get to work but I would rather be able to see properly:(
Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%

Afternoon all! Kitchenbunny reporting in with the first spend of July - a total of £8.40. This included a smoked gammon joint reduced to £2.99 which I couldn't pass up. This'll make loads of sandwich meat once cooked and will last us quite a while so into the basket it went. We also needed bread, a bit of cleaning stuff and I bought some mushrooms for the weekend (reason being I always end up needing mushrooms at the weekend and going to Mr T for some - and always spending more than I'd intended. So this should last us into next week but I might need to pop to Mr M tomorrow morning if I haven't got the chilli con carne mix I thought I did. I could make it from scratch but both Mr KB and I prefer a certain shop bought variety. Ah well.

We've got toads in holes tonight. A normal toad in the hole but where the chipolata sausages have been twisted in half and the whole lot done in a muffin tray rather than a big dish. Going to see if we eat less by thinking we've got more on our plates! We'll see ;)

Have a lovely evening, everyone. Welcome back, Flo.

K xx
